🕸🕸🕸🕷🕸🕸🕸Three years have passed since the young Peter was introduced to the world as Tony's successor. And as Peter grew, he was already balancing being both the future company owner and just being a normal kid—or as normal a childhood as one could get when they have a billionaire, philanthropist, hero for a father. But Tony, in the short time he was raising Peter, had somewhat straightened his act together (thanks to some much needed advice and reprimanding from both Happy and Pepper—and the newly formed superhero team who integrated themselves to become Peter's extended, unconventional family) and was shaping up to be a great role model for Peter. Well... most of the time, Pepper might add bitterly.
While Tony was nurturing Peter, showing him a lifestyle fit for a young boy and further advancing his studies to quench his growing knowledge, Pepper worked to prepare him to take over the company. Adding business studies into his scientific courses. And the boy unexpectedly, yet not unsuspected, devoured the knowledge he was fed with his curiosity still cultivating in the process. He was after all a bright young lad.
Peter may have loved the learning, but he also enjoyed the love he never thought he'd receive and the large family he never thought to gain. He loved the small familial moments they'd share: whether it's Pepper making dinner inside the penthouse as Peter and Tony were busy tinkering on a new piece of machinery the older man invented, or when Tony or Pepper would greet him each morning with a kiss atop his head to begin their day.
On one particular morning though, a nine-almost-ten-year-old Peter Parker was the first to be the early riser and quickly readied himself to exit out his bedroom door. He greeted the sound of J.A.R.V.I.S as the AI addressed him instantaneously.
"Would you like me to inform your parents of your awakening, little Stark?" The monitor then asked the boy, but Peter shook his head in reply.
"No, thank you, Jarvis," he answered politely, the pitter-patter of his tiny feet echoing through the halls as he made it to the room that occupied the two adults. He knocked on the door before hearing a groggy response permitting him to enter.
The door slid open, allowing a small Peter to scamper into the room closer to the bed in the center.
"Hey little buddy, what's wrong," Tony then asked as he sat up his bed, fixing his black tank-top. Pepper, who was sleeping beside him on the right, was stirring as she was roused from her sleep by the morning light that permeated into the room.
Peter shook his head, "Nothing."
Tony flashed him a quizzical brow in return, asking once more, "Then why are you up so early?"
