on march 19, KQ entertainment released the following official statement denying the allegations :

" hello,

this is KQ entertainment.

recently, there have been posts and comments involving malicious slander, groundless speculation and criticism of our idol, ji-sun, circulating through various online communities, portal sites and social media accounts.

we deeply understand the seriousness of school violence in the entertainment industry and have conducted a very detailed investigation into the authenticity of the contents of both the alleged victims' post. we questioned school teachers and classmates of ji-sun's middle school and have confirmed that the post made by the first 'victim' contains false information and that the second victim is true. because the first post was aimed to malicious slander ji-sun by exploiting the social atmosphere of school violence.

in addition, we have identified the first post made which qualifies as defamation, as they spread groundless false information while mentioning our artist's real name

in response, we are taking strict legal action to any misconduct that publishes, transmits and distributes false information of our artist.

we are planning to take maximum actions to the extend permitted by law, including criminal charges against all offenders as well as civil claims for damage, so we ask that you stop posting and distributing any more false information and posts immediately.

we are in the process of submitting criminal complaints and plan on suing the offender through the law firm, lee and ko for the crime of defamation by spreading false information.

we will not stand by and watch any misconduct that tramples the character and rights of our artists or undermine the value of social change to prevent and eradicate school violence.

we ask that you refrain from making speculative reports about unconfirmed claims and indiscriminately disseminating posts.

we also sincerely thank atinys who have always loved and supported our artist, and take this time to send ji-sun messages of support.
