// Third POV //

Back in China, Lucas had this reputation in his town of being the sexiest man alive.

Today, everyone is so drawn to the man, not believing how he is an actual, real person. The tall second maknae was not only handsome, but lovable. He acted like a baby brother to his SuperM hyungs and everybody just adores him.

Lucas talks a big game but in actuality, he's been having self-esteem issues.

Back in their debut days, WinWin used to look up this website to read fan comments only to find that they were all negative. He didn't like reading those things about himself but overtime, he just kept coming back. It was like a toxic relationship, he couldn't keep away.

It went on far too long, only lasting months but left a permanent paranoia in the Chinese member. Thankfully, Taeil stopped him before WinWin could become full on addicted.

Then a year later when WinWin left 127 and joined WayV, he couldn't help but read the hateful Koreans slander him and celebrate the fact that he was gone.

Kun caught him with the website again, giving him a good talking to and a strict physical punishment to remind him his worth.

Lucas knew better.

He hated anti-fans with a passionate and just wants to live his life without caring about what worthless people have to say about him. But again, it was a toxic relationship between reality and fiction. Lucas found the site by accident, just doing a simple google search of his groups name and saw the hate site.

The comments hurt too much to forget.

---------

It wasn't like Mark, Taeyong, and Ten didn't know about what was going on with Lucas, they just didn't want to believe that Lucas was actually believing what those people said about him.

Every idol has experienced some level of hate before, it always stung the first time but NCT was the type of group to laugh it off. Johnny in particular loves to hit back with an even better comment that would shock the anti-fan and make the NCT men laugh at his absurd response.

The China members weren't that headstrong, Korea already was racist toward them. The comments became meaner when it focused on race.

Lucas probably could laugh it off if it was just stupid insults about his appearance. But these were paragraphs upon paragraphs of racist, evil people who threatened the idol and his life.

One particular post scared Lucas:

"Watch for me in Chicago. I'll be the one in flames."

Tonight was SuperM's concert in Chicago, the start of the their tour began in America and ended in Korea.

Death was always scarier than racism. Death was what made racism so scary.

Lucas didn't know who to turn to. He was terrified, death threats rarely ever play out but should he even shrug it off, pretend that it's just someone wasting their time? What if it was real? Lucas could be dead tonight. Killed. Murdered. In America of all places.

Ten was the only one who really pieced two and two together. He wasn't Chinese but he was Thai and he shared the same unit with Lucas. He of all people knows what look of utter horror looks like, he memorized it from WinWin.

He was reading hate comments! After what happened with WinWin!

Ten didn't want to assume the worst. If he turned out to be wrong, Lucas could be punished for something he didn't do but at the same time, if Ten didn't tell anyone, Lucas could harm himself. And that thought alone made Ten run to Kai's room.
