**Leo's POV**

Later on, Charlie and I decided to go out to eat. Once we were ready we walked to a local restaurant and we sat down at a table and looked at the menu.

"What are you going to have?" I asked.

"I dunno, what are you going to have?" Charlie responded.

"I think I'll have the mac and cheese. just keeping things casual and nothing too fancy," I answered.

"I think I'm going to have the same. What are you gonna drink?" He asked.

"Diet coke," I responded and I knew he'd have the same. "You're gonna have the same, aren't you?"

"Yup."

At that moment, a waitress came to wait on us. Her name tag said her name was Alex. "Hi, Leo, hi, Charlie."

She knew us?! "How do you know our names?" I asked.

"Jessica has been telling me a lot about you two," she smiled. "Even told me what you two look like."

"Wow, she must really love you," Charlie smiled. "How did the proposal go?"

"She said yes," Alex squealed.

"And?" I asked.

"We've already agreed that we're going to have the wedding in England," Alex told us. "We're going to move to England a few months before so we can sort out a venue."

"That's great," Charlie smiled. "Leo's dad lives in England."

"Yeah, that's why we're moving there," Alex grinned. "She wants Antonio to give her away."

"What happened to her Dad?" Charlie asked.

"I'll leave Leo to tell you what happened to her Dad," she replied, awkwardly.

"So can we order now?" Charlie asked.

"Sure," she continued smiling. "What would you like to drink?"

"We'll both have diet cokes, please, Alex," Charlie replied. "And to eat, we'll both have mac and cheese, please."

She jotted down what we wanted on a little A6 notebook and then left Charlie and I to continue talking.

"So what happened to Ava's father?" Charlie asked.

"I'll tell you when we get back, I promise," I promised him. I sighed. Not only because he was a bit impatient, but because the truth was going to be difficult to tell.

I sighed, not only because he was a bit impatient, the truth is gonna be hard to take.

Flashback - 3rd persons POV - 2 years ago

"Dad, please," Ava shouted. She was petrified now that she came out as her true self; gay and proud.

Her Dad was religious. All Ava wanted him to do was love her no matter what she turned out to be. Not everything has a happy ending. Ava had suffered depression for 3 years and during that time she had slit her wrists and her stomach.

"Nope, you're going to church every Sunday from now on until you die, you will realise that being gay is a sin and you will marry a guy when you're older. and I swear to God, if I find out you've been kissing girls in school, I will hit you and kick the gay out of you. My young and beautiful daughter should not choose to be gay," Her Dad shouted at her. Then he hit her plenty of times until she began to bleed and bruises were becoming visible.

"Get in the flaming car, you disgrace of a child," Her Dad pushed and shoved Ava towards the car but she still refused to get in. Her Dad pushed her in and shut the door, leaving her to buckle up. Ava's Dad walked around and got in the car and during that time Ava had managed to escape the car and hide behind a plant pot in the driveway. Her Dad raced off towards the church, realising that Ava had escaped the car. He was a careless driver at this point and he was swerving all over the road until-

CRASH!

He hit a van, full on, bashing his head on the steering wheel and debris flew through the windscreen cutting Ava's Dad to bits. He died. But the van driver survived.  Now there was nothing left of him.

End Of Flashback-

In the end, I told Charlie everything that happened. By the time I told him everything, Alex had served us our drinks and our food.

"Thanks, Alex," I smiled as she placed our plates on the table.

"Thanks," Charlie thanked her as well.

"No probs," Alex smiled. "Have a good meal."

After we ate, we had a look at the desserts menu. Charlie was the first to speak up. "I'm just going to have vanilla ice-cream. As you said, just keeping it simple."

"Hmm," I agreed. "Yeah, I think I'll have that as well." After 10 minutes of waiting, Alex came back to take our plates. After taking the plates into the kitchen, Alex came back to take our dessert order.

"Okay, what would you like for dessert?" Alex asked.

"We would both like vanilla ice-cream, please," I smiled and she wrote down the order.

"Do you want chocolate brownie with that?" Alex asked. "I can give you a 30% discount because I know you."

"Okay then," I replied. Charlie was paying anyway.

"Okay," she wrote it down and then she walked off. 15 minutes later, she came back with our desserts. We ate in silence as we didn't really have anything to talk about and then Alex came back for our empty sundae glasses. She then went off and got our bill for the meal. "The original cost was $72.84 but since I'm giving you a 30% discount, that'll be $50.99."

Charlie paid and then gave her a $10 tip. We then left and walked home.
