(Extreme abuse in this chapter)

Near December, Naomi and Neville spent as much time together as possible. Every Saturday, every free lesson, they would see each other. This was because Christmas break was coming up and Naomi was dreading going back to her mother. She had a plan however. She was going to owl Remus, telling him everything her mother had done to her. Maybe then..... she would be saved. Draco had been trying to talk to Naomi as well. He had tried talking to Cedric, Fred and George but nothing seemed to work. She was ghosting him. Not talking to him if you will. Naomi was also extremely upset to find out that she would be missing the yule ball. Neville had asked Ginny to go with him instead.

-Naomi's POV-

Today is the last day of term and I have to say goodbye to everyone. I am one of the only ones going home so I'll have to sit on my own. It's been nearly two months since I've spoken to Malfoy. I have tried to forgive him but I still can't get the image of Neville being passed out out of my head. I ate breakfast that morning having left Neville in the common room as he was talking to Harry about something. I sat next to Fred then noticed something.

"Where's George?"

"He had to see Filch about something. Anyway, shame to see you go for Christmas."

"yeah...... sorry"

"Why are you apologizing?"

"You all seem so exited about the ball and I won't even be here to see it."

"I'll send you a table cloth if you'd like?"

"Thanks Freddie but I'm okay."

"you sure? They say Hogwarts have the finest?"

"I'm sure- Bloody hell, took ya long enough, Nev!"

Just then, Fred got up and left so Neville could sit by me.

"Sorry, love. Harry needed me for something."

"It's quite alright, hey I'm leaving today so could you possibly look after Fiore while I'm gone?"

"Sure, but why?"

"My mum. She'll get rid of her. I got a letter last week saying that she found a dead rabbit under her bed."

"Oh, right. What does she eat?"

"She won't need feeding. She'll wonder off and just hunt for food. I just want you to make sure she doesn't get up to anything."

"Yeah, I can do that."

"Okay, thanks Nevy"

"Nevy?"

"You don't like it?"

"No no, it's fine."

At that moment, the bell went which meant I had 10 minutes to get on the train. Me and Neville walked to the station and I spoke to him out of my compartment window.

"Goodbye, Naomi. Remember to send a letter to Professor Lupin."

"I will. I love you, Nev."
