~I promised~ Cookie's Backstory /TW\

"Papa are you ok..?"

Five year old Chrissy runs across the grass of her backyard, her father chasing her.
"You can't catch me daddy!" She chuckles.
"I will princess! Just you wait!" Her dad calls out.
A tree branch cracks above the small girl, her father looks up seeing the branch.
"Cookie!! Look out!" He yells at her, as he runs over pushing her out the way.
"Papa!" As she makes impact with the floor, she hears a crack and a thump. She looks up to see her father laying lifeless on the floor, the tree branch on top of him.
"Papa..?" She crawls over to him, poking his face trying to wake him up. "Papa are you ok?" Tears fill her emerald green eyes as she moves her hair from her eyes. She calls out "Mama!! Mama help something happened!" Her mother runs out, seeing her husbands body fills her eyes with tears. She sits down next to her brunette daughter, hugging her to her chest. "Papa has gone away for a bit Chrissy..." she says bluntly, not daring use her nickname like her father. She hugs the girl to her chest as the small child weeps, she felt like this was all her fault and it was silly to say the least. "When will papa come back..?" The small girl looks up at her mother. She looks down at her child, her own eyes filling with tears. "Papa is dead Chrissy.. he's not coming back" This brings more tears to the small girls eyes as she promises never to let anyone get hurt because of her again.. if only she knew how wrong she was
