End for Me

\\ Aaron's POV //

By the time I had fetched new bandages, I was left standing there in the doorway watching Jasper and Tom do the fighting hand slap thingy- whatever it's called.

They were looking eachother dead in the eyes and Tom was smirking.

Jasper flinched away and grabbed him, rubbing his fist against the top of his head and rustling his hair.

"OwWw!" Tom tried to lean back to get away and succeeded, almost falling off of the stool.

"That's enough- what are you two even arguing about?"

I hadn't expected Tom to even interact with Jasper in the first place. What could they even be arguing about in the first place?

Jasper opened his mouth to talk but Tom covered it and started speaking.

"I told him he looks like a lemon. With a rotting stem. Because his hair is black."

I had to hold back a laugh and covered my own mouth. I slapped Tom's hand away and he looked at it for a second weirdly before getting out his phone.

Tom's personality had changed a lot during the past weeks. Maybe being with Jasper helped.

Jasper only grumbled and stood. "I finished the homework." Before walking out the door abruptly.

Jeez, hope Tom didn't make him too mad..

\\ Tom's POV //

Obviously I had been lying about when I called him a "lemon."

I mean, he DID look like one.

I had to cover up the fact that I liked Aaron in the first place.

Me and "Jasper," whatever lemon's name was would have to compete for Aaron.

Slight problem; I'd have to be inconspicuous about it.

I had no idea if he felt the slightest feeling for me but I wasn't sure.

A crushing feeling weighed down my chest. I wanted to sleep and hide away forever with that sinking feeling.

"He'll never like you."
"Give up."
"Leave. He doesn't need any burdens in his life."
"Your being stupid. Go back already."
"You forgot to feel. You know what that means."
"Nobody likes you or your personality."

It made me have a sick feeling. I clutched my stomach and stood, putting my hood over my head and turning towards the door.

"I gotta go finish my homework."

"Wait-" he called before I walked out the door.

Do it.
Do it, scumbag!
You don't deserve him.
You don't deserve to even be here.
Go already. This is your fault for feeling like this.
I don't know what to do, the other part of my brain snapped back.
It's helpless. This is all a waste.
Take your mind off of the world.
You know how.
