"Ne, Hisoka, the icing should go on the cupcakes, not in your mouth!" Came the chirping tone of the raven haired male standing in front of me. His eyes were full of concern, yet mixed with glee at the current activity we were engaging in.
"Oh? Sorry Gon-Kun, the icing was just too desirable for me not to resist." Replied the ginger to the right, currently licking a glob of red icing from his finger. The gingered male was adorned in a funny looking pink apron. A ridiculous apron. For a ridiculous guy.
"Killua, why aren't you decorating? Come on!" The doe eyed boy caught my attention, tugging on my arm and pulling me down from my previous seat up on the counter where I'd been watching the whole scene with a feeling of disbelief in my stomach.
Ah yes, how in the hell did it come to this?
--------------------
It'd been a bright sunny day on Whale Island. Gon and I had just finished up our morning fishing. I was getting better and better at catching them, and between Gon and I we'd caught over thirty fish. We released most, yet kept a lot to bring home for some meals."Killua, you're almost as good as me at fishing now!" Praised the boy to my right as we trudged back towards his home. He grinned widely at me, shiny white teeth showing just how happy he was from our shared success.
A little smirk hinted towards my face, "Almost? I'd say I /am/ better, baka." I teased, nudging him in the arm with my elbow in a playful like manner. I was of course only messing with the Enhancer.
Gon nudged me back, which resulted in a nudging war I'd say until we'd reached Gon's home.
I definitely won.
"Mito-San! We're back!" The excitable boy announced, throwing open the door and marching inside. I diligently followed after, kindly slipping off my shoes and putting them aside. Unlike Gon who'd haphazardly thrown off his boots and left them laying around. I picked up after him, slipping on my slippers.
It'd been about a week since I'd been staying with Gon. He had insisted on it. Of course we were planning on leaving sooner or later.
It was just.....so far it had been kinda nice. A huge change of pace, but nice. Sometimes I would itch for some action, a strange twitching feeling in the back of my neck, a feeling like I needed that adrenaline rush back in me. The rush when you battle or train. Being relaxed and lazing around Gon's house was strange. It was different from our usual status quo. Mito-San insisted everyone needs a break every now and then. We'd leave eventually, at some point.
Gon's boisterous yelling pulled me back towards reality. "Mito-San! Where are you?" I heard the footsteps of Gon pad around the whole house. I rolled my eyes as the frowning boy appeared in front of me once more. "Where did Mito-San go?"
"Don't you remember? She said she was leaving for the week. She's going to some sort of market in another town." I reminded, shrugging and starting upstairs. Typical Gon.
"Oh yeah......I wonder who'll take care of us!" Gon said, his tone thoughtful.
Now those words got my attention.
I snapped my head over towards him, and immediately halting on the stairs. I felt a disgusted expression cross my face. "Take care of us? What're you talking about? You know we can take care of ourselves."
"Oh of course we can. But Mito-San always gets someone to take care of me when she's gone a long time. Usually a woman from town, they're always super kind to me!" He laughed, scratching his head. "I guess she gets worried sometimes."
My sour expression remained. Ew, a girl? Gross. Girls were noisy and annoying. Not to mention nosy and always giddy and weird. They made me uncomfortable.
"Whatever. Just tell her to leave me alone when she gets here." I waved my hand, turning to start up the stairs again.
However, at that point the door opened.
The voice I heard would give me nightmares for centuries to come.
"Gon-Kun, leaving the door unlocked isn't very smart~ Next time be a good boy and lock the door ok?" For the second time my head slowly turned.
Oh was I wishing for some chick to take care of Gon and I now.
"Hisoka? What're you doing here?" Gon only seemed mildly surprised, as usual.
Before us stood the ginger himself. He was in his usual strange attire, consisting of diamonds and stars and whatever else was all wrong with his outfit. The usual tear and star was painted upon his cheeks as those slanted eyes glanced between Gon and I.
"Seriously, what the hell?" I felt my brow furrow as anger welled inside of me. I wasted no time as I instantly hopped down from the stairs, standing next to Gon and thrusting my hands up in a defensive position.
"No need to be so hasty. I'm here to take care of both of you~" The tall man smirked in response, his tongue swiping across his pale lips. A soft chuckle escaped his throat, seeming amused by us. "No fighting. Although, I wouldn't mind some of that..."
"Really? I guess Mito-San didn't know we knew eachother! This is such a coincidence!" Gon's ignorant words left his lips as he giggled. Whatever else he was going to go on about I wasn't listening. I felt too sick to my stomach to listen.
This was probably my worst nightmare.
