A/n - this doesn't even make sense in the story because it's still February but I wanted to do a short chapter today!

March 16th -
This year St. Patrick's Day was on a Sunday so Cedric let Rosie stay up later than usual, building a leprechaun trap out of cardboard and a gold coin that Blaise had given her earlier in the week. Rosie had worked on it almost all day, building it, painting it, and sparsely decorating it with a doll bed and a couch.

Cedric thought it was adorable how excited Rosie was about a holiday that he frankly found boring. She talked about it since the week before and even Blaise had heard about Rosie's rambling, which is when he gave her the coin.

It was now late, for Rosie, about 9:30pm and the day was starting to wear her out. She emitted yawns every few minutes but she was still finishing her final touches. Finally Cedric gave her a five minute "warning" about bedtime and by the time Rosie hit the pillow, she was fast asleep.

Cedric then got ready for bed and after that he got out green paint and a cheap action figure he'd bought. He painted the bottom of the action figures shoes with the bright emerald green paint and put little footprints inside Rosie's trap. Then he took the gold coin and replaced it with the gold coin chocolates he'd gotten the last time he visited Hogsmeade. As a final step he put a new green and white pacifier on top of the small pile of gold coin chocolates.

After he finally finished he brushed his teeth and crawled into his bed, carefully scooting Rosie out of the center.

March 17th -

Cedric awoke to Rosie practically jumping on him, squealing and giggling and not making much sense. It seemed she had slipped further than usual because of her excitement.

"Da 'epercan (leprechaun)! Da 'epercan!" She cheered until Cedric scooped her up and set her on the bed next to him.

"The what?" He exclaimed, pretending not to know what he'd done the very previous night.

"Da 'epercan, no here but presies (presents)!" She babbled, and giggled trying to explain what happened.

"Oh my goodness! Let's go see cutie." Cedric smiled, happy that Rosie was filled with pure glee over something so simple he had done.

"Mhm, 'ets go!" She gripped his hand and rushed him over to the center of the room where she had left her trap.

"Wook!" She said excitedly, giggling and smiling, waiting for Cedric's reaction.

"Oh my goodness! What's all this! Chocolate and a new pacifier? He must have been very impressed with your house." Cedric said sitting next to it and pulling Rosie next to him.

"Mhm, nex yeaw get em." She tried to explain that next March she would build an even better trap but Cedric understood.

"I'm sure you will Rosie, now, I think I know a certain little bear who needs some breakfast? Do you know who that is?" Cedric smiled.

"Me! Hung'y" Rosie said with an exaggerated pout.

Cedric laughed and the two of them went to the kitchens to get their breakfast before spending the rest of the day playing and napping and relaxing.
