Every evening is the same
"Chris, Alicia I need to go help Gilda with the baby's."
Almost every evening me and Gilda go and take care of the baby's
"Aw... Come and play with us after, promise!"
Every evening the kids get sad when I have to leave them
"Promise!"
But tonight something was strange.
"Yay!"
Or more specifically a few people were acting strange
- - - I was walking to the room that all of the babies are kept in when I noticed Emma was right behind me, heading in the same direction 'She doesn't help the kids today? Why is she coming up the their room?' I thought As I continued walking up the stairs, trying to not pay attention to Emma.
When we got to the baby's room Emma hurried over to Carols crib, not even thinking twice 'She wants to help us today? It's not her chore to change the babies today, so why is she helping us? Maybe she just wants to spend time with Carol I mean she basically teleported to her right now' I thought as I walked up to a baby, holding them in my arms as I cradled the baby in my arms. I was about to start changing the child when I noticed Gilda looking at Emma suspiciously, I looked along with her to see what Emma was doing when I saw that she was mumbling words that weren't audible when her eyes widened as she put Carol down and turned her head to the side and moved her ear so she could see behind it 'Why does she need to look at the back of her ear?' I thought as I started walking towards the girls "Hey what that A bug bite?" Gilda said looking at Carol's ear "Mama told me a while ago that this was taken for a blood test for any disease." Emma said before she gasped when she put her hand on Carol's ear "Naila, Phil, Mark, and Conny had it too!" She exclaimed like she just broke some worldwide mystery "It's on everyone's ear..." Emma said as Gilda asked "Mine too?" She put her hand on the back of her ear so Emma could see "No It's gone already." Emma told her as she looked at the back of Gilda's ear 'Did they forget that I'm still here?' I thought as I turned around to continue changing the baby "Well of course I'm 10 and your 11." Gilda said as Emma hummed in agreement "It's smaller than I expected..." Emma said as she touched the back of her ear "What was?" Gilda asked "Eh? Oh! I meant that it was such a small scar that it already disappeared!" Emma said in defense 'She sure does sound like she's lying' I thought to myself "Yeah..." Gilda responded as Carol started whining. Emma started tickling her a little, making Carol giggle "I will protect these children no matter what." I heard her say as I walked out of the room to go downstairs to play with the kids.
- - - "Okay everyone I'm going to announce your scores." Mama said as I took my headphones off 'I already know that Emma, Norma, and Ray are going to get perfect 300's' I thought as I leaned back into my chair "Let's see Emma, Norman and Ray good job perfect 300's again!" mama exclaimed as she looked back down at her clipboard "Oh! And we have another person who scored all 300's! Y/n congratulations!" Mama announced as I sat in my desk, shocked 'What? Me? But I rarely get perfect scores?' I thought as all the kids started looking in my direction just as baffled as I was.
