Chapter 2

After the whole... incident... karl ran off.

Sapnap had searched for two hours, only to find Karl curled up in the corner of the old library, rocking himself quietly with his hands on his head.

Sapnaps heart had ripped in half from seeing this, he knew that Karl couldn't deal with any of this shit. He seriously just wasn't mentally stable enough.

"Karl... I'm so glad I found you" Sapnap exclaimed quietly, falling to his knees before trying to hug Karl.

Unfortunately Karl had been having a really bad breakdown and Sapnap startled him so bad that when he was embraced, Karl shoved Sapnap so hard that he fell back and hit his head.

Obviously this shocked sap but, he knew why Karl's reaction was so extreme.

"Hey, baby it's okay" Sapnap called out softly.

"I-I'm so-rry" Karl said through sobs. He tried catching his breath but the fact that he was crying only made it so much worse.

He was hyperventilating, he was scared, and he had just hurt one of the loves of his life. That, was how Karl felt at the moment.

Sapnap very slowly made his way closer to Karl.

"Shh, it's okay. Alex is fine, he's stable. He's fine" Sapnap said, once he calmly wrapped his arms around the frightened boy in front of him.

Karl's breathing slowed and he finally caught his breath.

"You're safe" Sapnap mumbled softly.

"He's right in here. I'd suggest taking it easy on him and letting him rest okay?" The nurse said after leading Karl and sapnap into the room quackity was in.

Karl quietly thanked the nurse while Sapnap instantly took a seat next to the hospital bed, where quackity lied.

"Heyy, you look like shit, amours" quackity said with a laugh.

His attempt at breaking the tension was only met with silence.

"Damn. Tough crowd I guess" he said with another laugh.

Karl sat at the foot of the hospital bed and took quackitys hand.

"I'm sorry... that I couldn't protect you... I'm sorry I couldn't change this... but if I did I'd-" Karl began trailing off and looking anywhere but at his two fiancé's.

"Karl you had nothing to do with this. And you can't change what happened okay? We can only move forward. So let's focus on the fact that quackity is okay" Sapnap said.

Karl nodded while the boy on the bed scrolled through an app on his phone.

"Yeah karlos I don't care about your apology. It's not your fault so saying sorry means nothing. Instead of apologizing and shit, you coulddddd" quackity tilted up his head slightly and closed his eyes, 100% expecting a kiss.

Karl rolled his eyes and kissed him gently, trying not to hurt him in any way. He kissed back and they both smiled softly.

"So how does dying feel?" Sapnap asked with a laugh when Karl and quackity pulled away.

Quackity gasped and sat up like he was prepared for this moment.

"It's like, pew, woosh, ow. Then you're dead. Then you wake up" quackity said, moving his hands to try to replicate just how dying felt. Perfect explanation if you ask me.

Sapnap kissed quackity on the head.

"Yep. That's definitely helpful" sap said with a smile.

There was silence before a different nurse came in, taken aback by the amount of people in the room.
