Chaeyoung's POV

My eyes fluttered open at the beam of the sunlight hitting my face.I rubbed my eyes as i sat up and realized y/n isn't by my side,i turned my head at the side and saw her sitting on a chair near the window. Hugging her knees as she stare straight outside

I stepped down from the bed and walked towards her,she turned her head to me and i met her swollen eyes.She's been crying nonstop last night, she didn't even talk to me after i returned back to my chamber, she just sob and sob until she fell asleep

"Good morning"i greeted her but she just nodded and diverted her attention away from me.Usually she'll greet my morning with a wide smile that'll instantly made my day but now she's just down in the dumps

I cleared my throat and placed a peck on her forehead.I went to the door and told my servants to prepare the things needed for cleaning y/n's wound.After,i went back to y/n and knelt in one knee,i gently grabbed her hand, spreading her clenched fist and slowly took off the cloth that's wrapped around her wound.

Minutes later my maids came back with basin of warm water and all the things i asked.I gently soak y/n's hand on the warm water,i cleaned and applied some ointments at her wound.I wrapped a new bandage around it and beamed her a smile after.

"Let's go eat?" I asked her "Im not hungry, you go eat" she mumbled and turned her gaze back outside ''You didn't eat last night...don't be stubborn please?" Silence ate the whole room for a moment before y/n let out a long heavy sigh and stood up from her seat

I flushed and smiled when y/n holds my hand so tight.Still with her straight face,she stared at me "let's go" i nodded and walked our way out of my chamber

While walking we bumped to the dwarf,she bowed at us and i can tell she's avoiding meeting y/n's eyes "G-good morning" she stuttered and smiled "Eat with us Jisoo"y/n said as she tightened her grip on my hand i then turned my head at her,confused.Y/n you're supposed to be angry at her

"No it's o-okay"Jisoo declined but y/n still insisted "Come on eat with us" she then turned her head at me and met my gaze "it's okay right Rosie?" Then she smiled so wide that her eyes are even closing.I was stunned and can't let out even a single word from my mouth,feeling my heart clenching again...It's fake.Her smile is...fake

"Y-yeah sure"i stuttered, still staring straight to her eyes.She then stared back at Jisoo "Okay t-then" we all then went to the dining area.Y/n sat beside me where she usually sit while Jisoo sat on the opposite side,facing us

While we're eating y/n broke the silent atmosphere "Where have you been Jisoo?" She asked with her attention on the food she's eating.I shifted my eyes on the girl in front and saw her swallowed hard before she speak "O-outside the palace...In the town,where i used to stay before i worked here...There's this not so big family that let me stay in their house"

"Ahh really?how have you been?did they treat you well?"Y/n asked again still her full attention on her food "Yeah they did" y/n slightly moved her head up and down "You're not lying to us right?" This time she brought her whole attention to the girl in front,staring straight at her eyes with her...dark orbs

It took a few seconds before Jisoo could answer Y/n's question,she even stuttered "Y-yes...w-why would i lie to you?" she almost whispered the last words.I raised my brow when y/n suddenly giggled out of the blue "Im just kidding, of course i trust every thing you said right now" she took the glass beside her plate and took a sip

She wiped her mouth before speaking again in monotone"But what you said yesterday, i can't accept that...You've gotta fix that book and make sure to send me back yeah?" She stood up and walked away from us,leaving me with this dwarf in this room.I nodded my head at the maids i've pointed to assist y/n,telling them to follow her.

I stared at Jisoo,her head hanged low while she eat "Why are you shivering?" I asked her and chew on the meat inside my mouth "I-im not your majesty" she grabbed the glass with her trembling hand and gulped what's inside

"Ahhh....i have a question" i paused and she lifted her head at me "I heard you're in the North a year ago?" Her eyes widened at my question,she took her gaze away from mine and stared at her plate instead "I h-have no reasons to go there your majesty, so why would i go there?I was here the entire four years" i nodded my head and drunk my drink after finishing my food

"You didn't go back to your time?ever since you came here?not even a single time?"

"No...i never get to go back after arriving here"

So only y/n went back to her time four years ago "Where's the book?" She once again swallowed hard "I'm keeping it your highness" liar. I chuckled "Ah that's good, just keep it...keep it away from Y/n" she nodded her head and smiled "Tell me about yourself and why did you made that book"

"Ahh my name is Kim Jisoo,from 23rd Century... I have two siblings but im living on my own because i want to prove myself to my parents that i can live independently even though i have asthma"

"Almost everything is boring in my time.A machine will clean your house,that'll serve your food or even cook for you.You can have a pet that's not even breathing and programmable with computers.You'll see different vehicles flying around,buildings are really tall but it's just really sad coz you won't be able to see trees oftenly anymore..."

"That means there might've other person aside from you and y/n that also travelled here?anyone who touched it also went here?"

"The book i used doesn't really belong to me,it's someone else's...The book about you and this era is so so so damn expensive and im really desperate to have the highest grade and in order to do that i should do my best to have the finest historical research,so i stole someone else's book and made it''

The Empress chuckled,she leaned back and crossed her arms "Why do people in your time care so much about this era?Now you're both stuck here....that's what you got for focusing on the past, you even missed the future"

"And that's the reason why you met y/n your majesty...and beside i know you like the idea of y/n not being able to go back anymore right?"

"Who's the owner of that book?"

"It belongs to my cousin your majesty and come to think of it,she kinda resembles y/n"
