Flashback In the village

Jared's side

Jared was sitting on a box while looking at the forest, waiting for Jaune and the others. He looks at his combat watch, It was now 12:40 am.

Jared: (sighs).

As Jared continues on watch, he suddenly sees a mug to his left perspective.

????: Would like some coffee, Captian?

Jared looks up to see the Mayor offering him coffee and having another for his own.

Jared: You didn't have to.

The Mayor: Please, consider this as a gift, for saving our lives.

Jared didn't have a choice as he takes his offer and drinks the coffee.

Jared: This is a good coffee. What's it made of?

The Mayor: It's homemade, nothing special about it.

Jared: Well, it did put up a good taste.

The Mayor put up a chuckle as he enjoys talking with Jared. As for Jared, he just only put up a smile.

The Mayor: May I sit with you?

Jared: Of course, sir.

The Mayor grabs a chair and sits near Jared.

The Mayor: Who are you waiting for?

Jared: My squadmate, Jaune. He is still not back yet. But I'm sure that he's okay.

 The Mayor: Is he your brother?

Jared: No, we're not blood-related. But I feel like a brother to him.

The Mayor: I see. Anyways, I have a question if you don't mind?

Jared: No worry, sir. Feel free to ask.

The Mayor: You said you're not from Atlas correct?

Jared: Yes, I did say that.

The Mayor: If you're not from Atlas, are you from Vale?

Jared: Nope.

The Mayor: Vacuo?

Jared: Negative.

The Mayor: Mistral?

Jared shakes his head for a no. The Mayor was shocked that the soldiers that saved his village are not from any of the 4 kingdoms.

The Mayor: Then where are you and your men from?

Jared: If I tell you that, you would find it hard to believe it.

The Mayor: Try me.

Jared leaves out a sigh and tells him everything about him, Jaune's story, his squad, Earth, and the War. After his done explaining the Mayor was horrified, shocked, & sad for what he hears from Jared's explanation.

The Mayor: My goodness... So you and your squad are from another world. And Jaune, dear ouma I can't believe that his own father disowned him.

Jared: Yeah, all of his squadmates and I wanted to beat the heck out of his father, including Cardin too. Also, I thought you wouldn't believe me about my story.

The Mayor: Ye- Yes, for the first part. But It would make sense cause the gear that you're wearing Is definitely not from Atlas or any of the 4 kingdoms, including your weapons as well. And I can't believe that your weapons actually break through the White Fang Lieutenant's aura.
