Mikael chased the siblings into the woods. Elijah could barely walk because of the pain so he and Klaus stopped and the younger brother grabbed the wood.
"Niklaus, what are you doing?" He asked.
"I'll take out that stake." He jerked the white oak and when he did that Elijah hissed but then felt relief. They stood up and Klaus threw the piece of wood on the ground.
They both hurried to reach the others and Klaus used his superspeed again.
"Niklaus, do you only can do that?" Elijah asked.
Klaus frowned and answered. "I don't know, brother."
As Rebekah ran, she hung her long braided hair on a branch. She released it hurriedly but didn't noticed that her M-engraved necklace dropped and continued to run.
When he passed by there, Elijah spotted it and picked it and when he did he saw Mikael hidding behind a large old tree. He had to go around if he didn't want to meet his father.

The siblings reached a river which wasn't very deep, but the water reached above their knees and they had to cross it. They wondered if they had escaped Mikael but they didn't know if he was nearby. It was getting dark and suddenly they noticed that Elijah was gone.
"Where the bloody hell is Elijah?" Rebekah asked, worried.
When Finn turned to look at her, he noticed that her necklace was missing. "Where is your necklace?"
She touched her neck but couldn't feel it. "It must have fallen... But this isn't important now. We have to find our brother!"
They moved on to a small village, hoping that the villagers didn't know what beasts they are.

After Elijah went around, he found himself on the other side of the village. It was very dark and there was almost no one. Except for one girl who was filling water from a well. She held a lamp in one hand and a small bucket in the other. The light of the lamp illuminated her light brown hair. She had very dark black eyes.
