Ch.8 | Getting Ready

Monday 2:11 pm • Levi's house/off-day at work

Never have I ever been on a date before.

So finding an outfit to wear has been complete hell.

"Why don't you just wear something casual but not too casual?" Hange asks through the other side of the phone.

I begin to hear Sasha in the background, her voice gradually getting closer to the phone, "Where are you two going?? If it's somewhere with food, take me with you!"

"No, Sasha. Hange, get Sasha up from under your ass. She's too damn loud. And as for the date-"

"Wear something you normally wear. Stop overthinking things. I'm sure Erwin won't even bother to judge what you're wearing one way or another." Yeah, well, Hange does have a point.

"Do people normally wear tuxedos on a date?"

"Levi, you're going on a date, not to a funeral." Well, that basically answers my question. "Do you have a buttoned-down white shirt?"

Yeah."

"And some black slacks?"

"Yeah?"

"Andd a long long jacket?"

"Yeah, yeah Hange. I do."

"Great! Because I just picked out your outfit for your date! Now I have to go."

"Talk to you later, Levi!" I hear Sasha yell in the background.

"Sasha Brous! Go to your class! Quit skipping!" If you didn't know, Hange works as a teacher.

"Anyway, I have to go- SASHA NO! You can't go to lunch yet!"

I let out a chuckle, "Tell that brat I said hey. Along with the other students."

"I sure will. Now go! I'm rooting for ya!" I hang up on Hange and pick out the final outfit I'm going to wear for today.

Erwin: Meet me in front of -designated area-. I'll see you there!

                                                                                                                                     Levi: I'm here.

I look around for Erwin, trying to see if I can spot his face from any direction.

But sadly, I can't. He even gave me a specific time to be here which was exactly at 4:00 pm and I'm exactly on time.

So where the hell is he?

Suddenly, someone's hands enter the front of my face just to cover my eyes.

I already know who it is. "You're two minutes late," I say as I face Erwin, amazed by how he looks today. He really did put some effort into his outfit.

I guess I can say the same about me.

"Yeah. Just two. Anyway, you're ready to go?"

I smile, "Yeah."

Why is my heart suddenly pounding out of my chest? Dammit.

I'm nervous as hell.
