It's been fifteen minutes. What is she getting? How long is she going to be gone? Something deep inside my gut told me something was wrong, but my brain told me I was over exaggerating. Which one do I listen to? That horrible feeling in my gut transformed into pain, physical pain. In that moment my cell rang.
"Hello?"
"Ethan? Hello? Are you there? Where are you?!" It was Shelby, she was frantic. I could hear the tears in her voice.
"I'm at the hotel. Danielle went out for something to celebrate our engagement and acceptance into college. Why Shelby, what's wrong? What happened?" I couldn't keep the panic from rising in my voice. I couldn't stop my mind from wandering.
"You need to get to the hospital right now Ethan. Something bad has happened. She needs someone with her that loves her. She needs you son. Please go to her and be with her Ethan, I'm getting on a flight right now."
And the phone went dead.
Oh my god, Danielle! I was out the door the before I could take another breath. What the hell has happened to my fiancé?
