Chapter 4

(Nemesis)

Starscream has been pacing for a total of three days. Here days Knockout had left, and three days of not hearing from him. He had faith Knockout would be fine. But he still had that slight feeling he was hurt, he just knew it but Megatron refused to let him go look for the mech.

Soundwave caught him in the halls awhile ago and said that Knockout was doing fine, showing his vitals that he still had open. He didn't tell Megatron that Knockout was taken by the autobots. Nor did he mention it yet to Starscream.

"Knockout where are you?" Starscream asked as he paced in the room they had started sharing awhile ago.

He and Knockout didn't have much to decorate their room with which was fine really. They had datapads with pictures and books so he just randomly had them all in his Subspace. Just in case he decided to leave and look for the mech.

He tried comming him many times but something was jamming the comm system. He growled as he sat on his berth and started to think. Then he made up his mind. He would leave as soon as possible to look for him.

"I'll find him...and I won't bring him back here" Starscream said as he started to make his way to the med bay.

(Base)

Knockout had that dim feeling in his spark, a feeling that told him Starscream was up to something and he wasn't there to stop or help him. He sighed as he sat in a corner on a crate watching the autobots. He was finally allowed to move around a bit but he felt it better to keep his distance for now.

Miko would run over to him and he would pick her up, but not without being glared at by Bulkhead and Arcee. Wheeljack was out scouting space again with Magnus for any other autobots so the base was somewhat quiet while the white wrecker was gone.

Though Wheeljack whined as he was accompanied by the large mech. Which most of the team laughed at as they watched him silently complain.

Knockout frowned as he set the girl back down and looked away from the others. Miko frowned at him but looked at the others to see two bots glaring. She wasn't happy in the least, but she just sat against the crate glaring at them.

"You know you two will make a new enemy if you keep treating him like that right? Miko has grown fond of Knockout, best accept the fact he's staying" Ratchet said.

"Wait what?!" Arcee asked.

"You heard me, optimus said it would be unwise to send him back to Megatron only for him to get hurt or worse killed later on" Ratchet said.

"But he could betray us!" Bulkhead said.

:Aren't we supposed to show others that change is possible, to show that everyone can have a second chance or third in some cases: Bumblebee asked.

"Thank you Bumblebee, see he is willing to give Knockout a Chance" Ratchet said as he looked and saw Optimus walking over to Knockout.

"Energon?" He asked holding a cube out.

".....please..don't waste your resources on me" Knockout frowned.

"Please drink it, and it wouldn't be going to waste. You need your strength Knockout, if not for yourself then do it for Miko" Optimus said looking at the floor.

Knockout sighed as he took the cube, and took a sip. Miko and Optimus both smiled, the prime then walked back towards Ratchet.

"I'll be with the guys playing a game" Miko said running back to the platform.

Knockout watched with a smile, but frowned again. The feeling in his spark wouldn't stop. His mind kept going back to Starscream. He needed to know if he was ok.

He jumped as Bee sat on his knees in front of knockout, looking up at him. Knockout have a small whine as he pushed further into the wall. He was shaking, thinking that he was going to get hurt.

:I won't hurt you...I just want to let you know you have a friend...I want to be your friend: Bee said gently taking Knockouts servo.

"......a friend?..." Knockout repeated.

:you can talk to me, tell me anything: the scout nodded.

"...Starscream! Ratchet I need to talk to him, I really need to talk to him" Knockout said in a panic.

"What's wrong?" Ratchet asked.

"I just know Starscream is gonna do something stupid, and end up hurt" Knockout said limping over to the older mech.

Ratchet thought about it and smiled. He reconnected Knockouts comm system and allowed the mech to contact the seeker. Only to see him frown.

"He isn't answering...ow ow..Ratchet please I have to find him" Knockout said.

"Would you care to tell us why?" Ratchet asked in a calm tone.

"...He's..uh....well Starscream is uhm family" Knockout said.

"I'm sorry family?" Arcee asked with a growl.

"He's my cousin! My carriers nephew, my carrier was a seeker. She wanted a somewhat normal life and met my sire. Please I have to find him" Knockout said with a broken look in his optics.

"It's alright Knockout. I will go look for him. I won't return without him" Optimus said as he made his way through the ground bridge he opened.

Knockout stared in shock but shook his helm. A smile on his face. Ratchet put a servo on Knockouts shoulder.

"If I know prime, he will find Starscream" Ratchet said.
