Chapter 5

Optimus kept guard over the seeker who was resting on the med berth. Having found him injured and grounded out in the middle of nowhere, he remembered how he promised Knockout he'd bring him back. Even if it meant upsetting the others or most of them.

Bumblebee was the only one currently not trying to hurt or kill the seeker in his current state. Smokescreen was trying to get used to the seeker, and knockout.

Knockout came to check on his cousin, along with Ratchet who was more than happy to let Knockout help out. Optimus stood by the wall close to the seeker, both medics were talking about his condition.

"He should wake up soon" Ratchet said.

"That's good to hear, and thank you again prime, for bringing him back alive" Knockout said with a smile.

"Your welcome Knockout and I'm glad you are remaining here with us, it would be good if you talked Starscream into joining as well" Optimus said.

"I know, and I don't really have to convince him. He said he'd always follow me no matter what" Knockout said.

"Very well. We will move an extra berth into your room, if you wish to personalize it. We can ask the humans for help" Ratchet said.

"Help for what?" Miko asked hearing the word human and help.

"To personalize their quarters" Optimus said.

"Sweet! I'll totally help, we can make some awesome posters or paintings. What else?" Miko asked.

"What about some personal things like wax and polish and paint" Jack asked.

"You'd help with all that?" Knockout asked shocked.

"Sure we would" Miko smiled at him.

"I can build a storage for that stuff" Bulkhead said quietly.

"I'll help ya Bulk" wheejack said.

"You two had a change of spark" Ratchet said.

"Yeah well....he did save our littlest wrecker, can't be all bad if they save a human from those mech fellas" Wheeljack said.

"Oh oh oh, I know what to do! BULK TAKE US TO TOWN" Miko said excitedly.

"For what?" Bulkhead asked.

"Things, it's decorating time" Miko said.

(Town)

Miko Jack and Raf walked around the store. Raf picked out a bunch of modeled cars, and posters. As well as a few game posters. Jack went to get a ton of paints and wax and polish, while Miko found sticky stars and planets of different sizes.

Each had their own cart, Miko also found some rockets and things to make a solar system. Raf helped her pick out a few science equipment for models to Starscream.

"Do you think they'd like a divider for their room?" Jack asked.

"Might be a good idea, but with what?" Raf asked.

"Some kind of cloth...but question is do we pick a printed cloth or blank" Miko wondered.

"Why not printed, something they both could like" Jack guessed.

"....we could sew some sheets together to work for a giant curtain." Raf said.

"That might work, let's go to the linen shop" Jack said.

After paying for the stuff they found, they loaded it all into Bulkheads trunk. And then headed to the linen shop. When they got there they entered and went to find what they needed.

Miko found one with unicorns and the boys shook their heads, making Miko pout. But she put it in the cart for her bed. Raf found one with a galaxy print, he grabbed about four of them with normal black sheets.

Now back with Bulkhead, who insisted on waiting outside. We're heading back to the base. When they arrived Bulkhead saw a bunch of materials to make cabinets and shelves. Wheeljack motioned him over, the kids watched the green wrecker join his friend. They began to start sewing the sheets together. The galaxy printed being the same would looks like one giant picture between the black sheets.

Miko groaned at all the sewing they had ahead of them. Optimus had moved all the furniture so they had space to lay out the sheets to sew them easily. They each picked a corner to start. Figuring the divider would be best to do first before tackling the decor for the room.

"How long do you think this will take us Jack?" Raf asked.

"I dunno Raf, with all of us working together on it it may take just a day or two" Jack said.

"Man that's more labor than I wanna do for something like this" Miko whined.

"To bad, it was your idea to do all this. So your helping" Jack said.

"Yeah yeah, I know...it's just sewing was never my thing" Miko said.

"Uhuh, because it isn't cool enough...we'll sewing is a natural thing to learn" Jack said.

"He's right" Raf smiled.

(Two days later)

The divider sheet was nearly complete. Optimus watched the three now working from the middle to the last corner.

Knockout was with Bumblebee int he sparring room. Bulkhead and Wheeljack had finished the cabinets and shelves, and were installing them in the room. They were also going to fill the cabinets.

(Hour later)

"Optimus we're done, it took awhile but we finished" Jack said.

"Very well, shall we hang it up?" Optimus asked.

"Yeah! Let's finish the room up to, I bet Knocks is getting tired sleeping on a crate" Miko said.

"Actually he's been sleeping with me, Starscream is still in stasis...so I told him he can stay with me until you kids finished their room" Ratchet said.

"Sweet! Let's do this" Miko said happily.

Knockout groaned as he came out into the main room, he saw the furniture back in place, and no humans. He looked around but only saw Ratchet.

"Come with me" Ratchet said as he led him down the hall.

Knockout noticed he was taken to a new room, and inside shocked him. A large cloth separating the room, and human things to decorate the space. On the walls and ceiling were star and planet shaped stickers.

He noticed really small cars on shelves posters on what he guessed was his side of the room and a cabinet on one wall, he opened it to find waxes and paints. Filled with both red and silver and a few blacks and whites. He glanced at Starscreams side and saw human science tools and posters and a solar system model.

"Starscream will love this" Knockout said.

"What about you? Do you like your half?" Miko asked.

"....I don't like it...I love it" he smiled.

"Success!" Miko smiled happily.

"I'm going for patrol" Wheeljack smiled as he left.

"I'll join ya" Bulkhead said as he picked Miko up and followed.

"Hey where are we going?!" She demanded.

"Home for you, it's getting late" bulkhead said.

"Right, what about Jack? Arcee is still out. How will he get home?" Raf asked.

"....I can take him" Knockout said.

"You sure Knockout?" Jack asked.

"Why not, I'm sure Starscream would tell me to do something aside from sitting around all day" Knockout shrugged.

"Alright" Jack said stepping him the servo stretched out for him.
