They were heading back out to the gardens, nothing eventful had happened, that was, excepting the argument that had occurred between Virgil's dad and Roman's mother, and the fact there were two extra boys with him.

Roman had also found out the name of the blonde haired green-eyed brother of Virgil and Katie, his name was Astra, he was apparently a girl before, Roman didn't really understand, so he just called him Astra and treated him like a guy.

He didn't know what it all meant, he just understood that the end result was that Astra was a guy, so Roman just stuck with that, which turns out was good enough, Virgil said that he could teach Roman about it all someday, which Roman agreed.

But for now Roman wasn't too bothered, it seemed like Astra didn't want to explain it though, he seemed uncomfortable, perhaps he hadn't wanted to tell, but Katie had a loud mouth, she blurted out a lot of things.

It would've been hypocritical for Roman to dislike her talking, but he didn't have too much of a problem with it now that he had spent some time with her.

Her problem was her tendency to overshare, she basically told Roman exactly what her life was like while they ate.

Maybe she was excited to have more friends? She did seem very over enthusiastic.

That's how Roman learned a few more words and things about his soon to be brother-in-laws, like Astra being trans and Virgil was 'gay'.

Roman said he didn't understand what the word meant, so Virgil quickly said that it meant that he liked guys.

Roman pretended that he just understood the concept, but didn't utter a word of what he thought.

For his whole life, he had been surrounded by men who liked women, never had it been pointed out that someone could go the opposite direction.

His understanding of it was that it wasn't normal, that he and his siblings had been the odd ones out.

Roman had always thought the were more normal though as they also liked women, Roman was fine with it in other people, but it worried him sick.

He'd never told anyone for fear that they'd think he was too different.

A thing that most likely helped was that all the romance books were very much 'straight' ones.

It comforted him that it wasn't that obscure, that it was a thing that people felt, he was still worried of what his parents would think, they probably wouldn't sit comfortably with it, maybe his dad would be okay though.

He had always supported Roman, it was strange actually, to Roman it seemed like he was the closest to his dad, but that was probably because Remus confided in Remy, and Remy...

Well Remy probably was close at some point to their dad, but then again, he was older than them, he was also the only child allowed outside the walls.

He was the reason that Roman had been out there twice before actually, he had helped Roman sneak out with him, Roman had appreciated the act of doing so.

Katie had started talking to Remus after she had noticed Roman was no longer paying attention to her words.

His eyes quickly caught onto Virgil, he started to talk to Virgil, who turned away from his ending conversation with Remy to talk to Roman.

They had then began discussing the whole trans predicament, and Roman swiftly understood the concept, but they continued talking, Virgil telling him about the outside world, answering questions that Roman had.

"Shhhh, Im trying to hear what they're saying." A woman with blonde hair said to everyone, she had ocean blue eyes with small gold flecks in them.

"Yeah, as amazing that it is that you're all getting along, I'm invested, and I need to know what happens next." Roman's dad said, sitting next to who Roman assumed was Virgil's mom.
