The sun shone through the windows of the pharmacy, causing Childe to groan as he tried to cover his eyes. The male blinked a few times, before stretching his legs. His body felt strangely heavy, causing him to stare at his bandaged hand as he got lost in his thoughts.
The memory from yesterday's fight flashed through his mind; a thrilled smile appearing on his face as he replayed the scenario in his head.
The way she grabbed his bow and effortlessly immobilized the ruin hunter in one shot, her concentrated look as she aimed at its eye.
He closed his eye again, his body suddenly filling with excitement.
To his surprise, his leg didn't hurt as much as he expected it to. Childe carefully stood up, a satisfied sigh escaping his lips as he barely felt any pain.
"You're awake", a gentle voice caught his attention, causing him to turn to the entrance of the building where a familiar figure greeted him.

"Im still surprised that you were able to defeat that thing. Quite impressing"
The female narrowed her eyes at his teasing tone, as she quickly checked the paperwork for today.
"I already told you that I know how to fight. And weak points are common knowledge"
The Fatui huffed, placing his cheek on his free hand as he closely observed her movements.
(y/n) smiled happily as she finished controlling the orders for the pharmacy, putting the papers back into a shelf nearby. There wasn't much to do for today, meaning that she had more free time. Not that she had any plans anyway.
Her eyes wandered to Childe, who curiously stared at her in response. Yesterday's encounter was not normal; Ruin hunters usually don't go near Liyue Harbor.
Another thought crossed her mind, causing her turn turn away from the harbinger. "Have you seen Qiqi anywhere?"
"No, I don't think so". The Ginger stared at the floor, as he tried to recall the last time he met the zombie.
(y/n) paused for a moment, processing the missing presence of the child. Qiqi was likely to get lost quite often due to her terrible memory, but most of the time she would be back in the next morning.
Her thoughts were interrupted by Childe, who suddenly groaned in annoyance and rubbed his temples as he remembered something.
"I still need to welcome the new recruits", he didn't feel like training newbies, instead he wanted to spend time with (y/n) who gave him an amused look before gazing at his wounds.
"You should write a letter saying that you hurt yourself. You won't be able to fight properly anyway"
Childe hummed before sighing, the unusual urge to just ignore his duty taking over him. The female was right; with his hand injured like that, he wasn't able to use his bow.
"I probably should.."
(y/n) looked outside, her gaze meeting people do their work and children who were arguing about taking medicine.
She turned away, slowly making her way to the backroom of the pharmacy to put medicine into small packages made out of large leaves.
The strong scent of Jueyun Chili made its way up her nose, as she put the red plant into a package before tying it up.
