I was late. Again. I spent too long in the library. Again. See, I'm working on a project for school. So anyway, I stayed up late watching anime and ended up forgetting about my project. So I decided to work on it in the library because that's where I spend most of my time anyway. I had all of my stuff, which included my pencil case, my project (obviously), millions of notebooks, millions of papers, and a few books. I was working for about 30 minutes because class started in 40. Which meant I had 30 minutes to finish three 10 sentence paragraphs, 5 minutes to pack up, and 5 minutes to get to class. I planned everything out. I was on the LAST sentence of my paragraph when suddenly, I started feeling ridiculously tired. I pushed myself to keep working through the fatigue, but I still ended up falling asleep. I think I was out for about 10 minutes after class started? Maybe. Anyway, I woke up to the librarian shaking me.
I yawned. "Tilly, you need to get to class! You're about ten minutes late!" The librarian (Ms.Dawn) huffed.
"H-huh? I'm tired...did you say TEN MINUTES LATE?!"
"SHHH! No yelling in the library! I already packed up your stuff, so just get the heck out of here!"
I scrambled around to gather my things and blushed. "I-I'm so sorry Ms.Dawn! Thank you for waking me, I-I'll be going now!" I practically ran out of there. I was not ready to get chewed out by Mr.Burns. He yells at everyone, even if you're only 1 minute late, so I was already preparing to be humiliated like I always do.
All was going well. That is, until I tripped. I was jogging down the hall, and then I tripped over my own two feet. I landed right on the ground, and my stuff went everywhere. I looked up to grab my stuff, but a group of loud kids was literally right in front of me. I was already blushing from the fall, but when I saw them laughing at me tears flooded my eyes and I turned even redder. I scrambled for all of my stuff. I reached down for a piece of paper, but someone else's hand grabbed mine. I felt their head against mine, so I looked up, and a boy with ruffled black hair, pale skin, and green eyes was crouching down, and we were nose to nose. I squeaked and jumped back, clutching the few things I did manage to grab.
He chuckled, holding his two hands up as if to surrender.
    "Sorry if I scared you."
"U-um.." I didn't know what to say at all.
"Are you alright?" He asked, locking eyes with me while he picked up the rest of my stuff.
    "Yeah, sorry for not looking..."
"I'm sorry, doll, your voice is so soft, I can barely hear what you're saying over those hooligans I call my friends." He rolled his eyes at the group of kids. They all looked a bit older than me, probably sophomores.
"M-my glasses," I mumbled. I couldn't seem to find them anywhere. You know, cause I'm kinda blind without them.
"Ah, I've got them right here." He said, putting them on for me.
    "Thanks..."
"No problem." The boy said, flashing me a quick smile and helping me up. He handed me the rest of the stuff I dropped.
I tried speed walking away from him as fast as possible, I didn't want to be over there for another second.
    "Hey, wait!"
I stopped in my tracks. I kept my back facing towards him.
    "Um...yes?"
    "Will I see you again?"
    "Huh?"
"Like, I didn't even catch your name!"
I really wanted to say that I didn't throw it. But I'm not that type of person. So I stayed patient.
"Um...maybe you will? I-I'm not entirely sure..."
"You stutter an awful lot," The boy said, raising an eyebrow.
I felt my face turn beet red. If only he knew.
It's not like I'm one of those stupid shy girls. I literally just embarrassed myself in front of kids who are older than me.
"Yeah, well, you talk an awful lot." I snapped back.
    Darn it.
"Ouch. So, can I get your number or something?"
"Um...sorry..." I quickly walked away. I didn't dare look back, for fear of having to talk to someone again.
Even so, I wonder who he even was, and why he wanted to know my name so desperately when this is the first time we've ever met, and the whole reason we met is that I tripped and fell.
I hope he doesn't think I like him or something. This is not some silly anime universe where the girl falls in love with every nice boy she meets. In fact, the last thing I'm gonna do is fall in love with anyone.

Not after what happened last time.
