Lavender listened to the rain on her car roof as she drove. It was pouring out there.
"Probably shouldn't have drove today." She whispered to herself.
Never mind all that. She had to be there before the moving van.

20 long minutes later she was standing outside the house that contained her whole childhood. Memories, friends, toys...the whole package.
The house was a creamy beige color. The door was a bright while shade that almost glowed. It drew her in like a magnet.

As she walked in more memories started flowing back. Movie nights, family dinners, tea parties...
Lavender came back to reality when she felt her eyes start to water. She shook her head and started to venture deeper into the house.
The kitchen. Shiny counters and the smell of cleaning spray. Lavender ran her fingers along the counter.
"Dust." She sighed. The house was never dirty. She got a tingly feeling before blowing some dust off the counter.
She brushed her bangs out of her face and kept walking.

The bathroom. White tiles scattered on the floor. Little stickers of sea creatures ran all over the walls. Teal shower curtain with white polka dots hung by the bath. Lavender ran her fingers along the mirror, smiling at her reflection.

Lavender walked through a few more rooms before reaching the one place she'd never been.
The attic.
She wasn't allowed to go up there. Too dirty. Too creaky. Too dark.
She shrugged before grabbing the knob and pushing the door open.
