Jane in all her years to come would never quite remember how she had managed to get through all the exams when she half expected Voldemort to come bursting through the door and take her and her brother Harry out. Yet when she talked to her brother he told her about his concerns for Fluffy the three headed dog guarding the Philosophers stone.

Marley and Jane had been preparing for their exams all evening knowing that it was going to be sweltering hot, especially in the large classroom where they did their papers.

" The quills will be enchanted with Anti-cheating spells." Marley said looking over all her stuff. " Dora told me about the time a kid in her class got caught cheating. Lets just say it wasn't good."

They had practical exams as well. Professor Flitwick called them each in one by one into his class to see if they could make a pineapple tap-dance across a desk. Marley did much more with hers though as did Jane. Professor McGonagall watched them turn a mouse into a snuffbox - points were given for how pretty the snuffbox was, but taken away if it had whiskers. Lukas had the most beautiful snuffbox. On the lid of said box was a silver wolf howling as the box was made of silver and rubies lined the trim of said box. Marley had gold and whiskers on hers but Jane had A golden box with emeralds similar to Lukas but instead of a wolf was a doe.

Most of the students though were nervous for Snape's exam. Jane on the other hand knew she would fair well in the potion exam. Snape made them all nervous while breathing down their necks while they tried to remember how to make a forgetfulness potion.

Jane saw her brother Harry struggling with the potion. Then again Harry was touching his scar in pain every few minuets. Jane knew since they went into the forest Harry wasn't the same. You would think it was just him not getting enough sleep or being anxious but Jane knew her brother better than anyone. He just wasn't telling her something.

Jane turned in her essay about the same time Draco did. Snape looked at both students before allowing them to leave.

" You know Potter, The Professor is very hard to please!" Draco said all smartly as Jane quirked her brow.

" You forgot to put something in your essay by the sound of his sigh when he looked over it" Jane smirked nudging Draco as he rolled his eyes.

" This is the only time i'm ever gonna be nice to you!" He glared at Jane as Jane smiled.

" Farewell ferret face" She ran laughing a bit knowing she had made Draco angry.

The last exam though was History of Magic. One hour of answering questions about batty old wizards, who'd invented self-stirring cauldrons, Imaginary places that once existed but were forgotten over time. Once the ghost of professor Binns told them to put down their quills and roll up their parchment, Jane heard Marley cheering along side some of the other first years glad to finally be done.

" That was I swear the longest and grueling exam of them all" Marley groaned her hair turning purple as Lukas snorted.

" I thought it was a simple exam honestly. I knew about the 1673 Werewolf code of conduct for the simple fact is, its still in place today!" He smiled as Jane stretched hearing laughter and looked over to see Ronald, Hermonie, Harry all under the tree as she saw the Weasley twins and Lee Jordan tickling the tentacles of the a giant squid.

" I'm not saving them if one get dragged in by the squid" Jane laid her head down into the grass as Harry got up followed by the others.

" Where is my brother going" Jane got up following them with Marley and Lukas by her side as they see Hagrid but as Jane was about to get closer they shot off in another direction it wasn't until Jane ran up to Harry as he told her of someone trying to steal the stone. going to see Dumbledore. But as they bounded up the stares Professor McGonagall stopped them stunned as all six students told her everything.
