Ollie's P.O.V.

While I was still cradling Paul, I felt my eyes fill with tears. My heart shattered to pieces as I looked down at the best thing that's ever happened to me laying dead in my arms.

"I never should've left him for this long. Even if I did, I would've said so." I said as my voice trembled. "Ollie, don't blame yourself. You couldn't have known this would happen." Said Katie. "Don't you get it, Katie?! If I stay away from Paul for a long period of time, he tends to worry! Besides, I've frightened the poor darling twice by going missing and fading from existence!" I cried. "Come on, sis, stop beating yourself up over something you didn't do on purpose!" Katie said.

I was quiet for a moment, but eventually spoke after a while. "What are you saying?" I asked. "I told Paul where you were, and when he wanted to go after you, he felt some sort of pain in his chest. I thought he was having a heart attack!" Said Katie. "Was he?" I asked. "No, he just wanted to see you. Look, Ollie, if there's one thing that might be able to save your husband, it's your presence." Katie said. "Are you sure?" I asked. "Positive. Do you remember when you kissed him the last time after you saved me from the IT?" Asked Katie. "I do remember that." I said. Katie puts her hand on my shoulder. "Then I guarantee it'll work again this time." She said.

Peter came inside, followed by Dorothy. They noticed me with tears in my eyes. "What's wrong, Ollie? Is everything okay?" Asked Peter. "I'm afraid not." I said sadly. "What happened?" Asked Dorothy. "Do you see this man I have cradled in my arms?" I asked. "Is he your husband?" Peter asked. "Yes, but he's dead." I said. "Oh dear!" Dorothy said. "He suffered from a broken heart, that's why he's like this." I said. "But I think he can be saved by her kiss. It worked last time when she did it." Said Katie. Peter and Dorothy exchange a glance, then they nod at me. "Go for it, Ollie." Said Dorothy.

I looked back down at my husband. "Paul, I'm so sorry." I said as my voice cracked. I let out a shaky sigh. "I kept saying how I needed you... but you needed me more." I continued. I caressed Paul's face. Slowly, I leaned in and kissed his soft lips. "You're the love of my life, Paul... and I'll always love you." I said tearfully. At long last, I let my emotions out as I pulled Paul close to me, buried my face into his neck, and cried my eyes out. I felt Peter, Dorothy, and Katie rubbing my back as I continued crying.

A song that fits how I feel about my Paulie rang out as I was still in a river of tears.

You know I can't smile without you
I can't smile without you
I can't laugh and I can't sing
I'm finding it hard to do anything
You see I feel sad when you're sad
I feel glad when you're glad
If you only knew what I'm going through
I just can't smile without you

You came along just like a song
And brightened my day
Who would have believed that you were part of a dream
Now it all seems light years away

And now you know I can't smile without you
I can't smile without you
I can't laugh and I can't sing
I'm finding it hard to do anything
You see I feel sad when you're sad
I feel glad when you're glad
If you only knew what I'm going through
I just can't smile

Now some people say happiness takes so very long to find
Well, I'm finding it hard leaving your love behind me

And you see I can't smile without you
I can't smile without you
I can't laugh and I can't sing
I'm finding it hard to do anything
You see I feel glad when you're glad
I feel sad when you're sad
If you only knew what I'm going through
I just can't smile without you
