Roman's P.O.V

I wake up to a text from my friend Andrew from high school. He wants to come over and catch up. I haven't seen him since we went to Virgil's concert last year. I text him back and tell him to head over. I decide to shower before he arrives. When I get out of the shower there's a text from him saying he'll be over in an hour. I lock my phone and leave it on my bed. I leave my room and head to the kitchen. I still live with my parents while I'm going to college.

"Morning mom. Dad," I say walking in the kitchen.

"Morning. Any plans for today? Your father and I are heading out," my mom says.

"My friend from high school is coming over. You remember Andrew right?" I respond. She nods and hands me my breakfast.

"See you later kiddo," my dad says as he and my mom leave. An hour later there's a knock on my front door. At the same time my phone rings but I decide to check it later.

"Hey man," Andrew says when I open the door.

"Hey," I say as I let him inside. He sits on the couch while I grab us some coffee from the kitchen.

"I still can't believe you're actually dating Virgil Blake now," Andrew tells me as I hand him his cup.

"We've been together a year now and I sometimes can't believe it. I do love him though," I tell him.

"You've loved him for years," he says but I shake my head.

"This is different. I'm not in love with the star that he is. I love who he is," I tell him.

"Okay. Enough about your significant other. How have you been?" he asks me.

"Great. I'm working at a coffee shop and going to college," I tell him.

"That's awesome man. My classes are killing me," he says laughing.

"You're going to school to get your business degree right?" I ask. He nods. "That's impressive," I say with a smile.

We talk for a couple hours before he decides to head home. We stand up and walk outside my house.

"We should meet up again," Andrew tells me. "I've missed our high school days," he adds.

"Of course. Just let me know when," I respond. I hug him goodbye and he walks to his car. I turn my head to see Virgil's car.

"Hey baby," I say when I walk over. He looks troubled.

"What's wrong baby?" I ask.

"Nothing," he tells me. That can't be true. He looks upset.

"Virgil," I start, "talk to me." He shakes his head.

"I'm going home," he says.

"You just got here," I say with slight worry in my voice.

"I have to go home!" he all but shouts. Before I get another chance to speak he drives off. I'm officially worried. I walk back into my house and grab the keys to my car. Then I walk outside to my car. I start it up and then drive to his house. As soon as I get to his house I see his car. I walk up to the door and knock.

"You're here. What happened?" Logan asks me.

"I'm not sure. He showed up at my house but left as soon as I saw him," I explain.

"Hmm. Alright. He's upstairs," he says and I nod. I walk upstairs and hear his piano. Then I hear him singing.
