"And you see if we mix the baking soda and the vinegar..." Mrs.Taylor, my science teacher, was going on about something or other with mixing things to make a module vacano. It normally would be cool, but I haven't been able to focus on anything all day. My two best friends are coming over to spend the night at my house, because my parents are away somewhere. But that doesn't concern you.
My two best friends are Zoe (who I have liked since 1st grade). Shes just a little bit shorter then me and has dark brown hair that goes down just past her shoulder blades. Shes got green eyes that could kill you if you stared into them long enough. She normally wears boys cloths, from her older brother. She's really smart, for the most part. She tends to believe in all those creepy pasta stories about paranormal activity and all those other weird things that are on that site.
And Jeff (also known since first grade, but I'm not gay). He has thick black hair that goes down to his shoulders. He loves sports, and plays just about any one you can imagine. He's extremely fit and theres nothing he loves more then showing off his six-pack. His eyes are brown, but he makes them orange by wearing specially made contacts. He used to wear glasses, then he broke them when he wanted to see if they could survive a two-story drop. He's not the sharpest tool in the shed, if you couldn't tell.
And then theres me. Zack. I'm five feet six inches, the same height as Zoe. I have dirty blondish hair that goes down just past my shoulders, we all have long hair where I go. I'm physically fit too, not as much as Jeff, but more than average. I love bowling, football, and music. Depends on what type though. Not pop and rap. I'm averagely smart too. Math is my weakest subject, like many other people.
Anyway as for tonight, I just got a new ping pong table, AND a new pool table. And I have yet to break them in, so that's our main goal for that night. My other goal is to get Jeff asleep to I can make a move on Zoe. Not anything sexual, just kiss her or something. Jeff kinda likes her too, it's first come first serve as far as I'm concerned.
Ding ding. The so called "bell" rang. They call it a bell, but its just 2 beeps. Not very bellish. Is that a word? Oh, whatever. Anyway we all rushed to our lockers, I got shoved into the wall. Again, happens every day. I shuffled to my locker and punched in the numbers. I got the fanciest lock in school. Its a touch pad and everything. Bam. My face hit the locker. "Whats up dude? You ready for tonight?" It was Jeff as I figured. "Is that a joke or are you just that dumb? Of course, man! I couldn't focus on anything else all day!" "...Not even during sex ed?" "Oh come on, that doesn't count." Suddenly we heard a voice behind us, "You guys are weird." It was Zoe. "Yea, we know." I muttered. But I did catch a sly grin on her face as she went to her locker inbetween us.
We all raced down the hallway and stopped as soon as we hit the little intersection. The same thing we go everyday to see who can stop the fastest. I always win, my shoes have the best traction, but they don't need to know that. We calmy walked out to our bikes and biked through the ice covered baseball field to the bridge, to avoid the patrols you know? We don't have a good record with them. My house is about 6 blocks away, and these bullies always wait for us on friday by this one street corner so we have to take an alternate route making it 10 blocks long to safely get there. Doing what we always do, finding a huge patch of ice and spinning our tires.
15 minutes later we're there. Jeff does what he does every time he tries to go in the front door. Forgets it goes out and runs right into it. "When are you going to learn it goes the other way?" Zoe asked. "If he hasn't in 7 years I don't think he ever will." I added. We stepped over him, pushed the door inward, and threw our backpacks onto the kitchen table. "Well your woods is scarier than ever." I heard Jeff say from the back window. We have a forest in the backward with all of these really scraggily trees. It still freaks Jeff out, I've gotten used to it. "Should we do are homework now or later?" Zoe asked from the kitchen. "Are you kidding? It's the weekend. I'll just do it on Sunday night." I replied as I walked away towards the back window where Jeff was pearing out. Theres a big hill maybe 200 feet long and then woods at the bottom. During the winter it's awesome for sledding, as long as you don't crash into a tree, that is.
"What are you guys doing in here?" Zoe mumbled as she walked out to join us. "Just staring off into nowhere." Jeff replied, which is what he's normally doing in school. If theres one thing that he actually appreciates, its sunsets. That and maybe Redtube. I looked over at Jeff to find that he wasn't blinking. "Jeff, shut your eyes for a second." I told him. "Not now, too beautifle to miss a second." Zoe pushed him aside and he went awah running around the house because he missed it. It took me and Zoe to take him down just above the stairs. He rubbed his head as he managed to get out, "sorry." "Hey look at that." Zoe began, "We're at the top of the basement stairs, where all the games and stuff are." "Oh yea, look at that." I replied. "Let's go."
