Caleb's kisses were intoxicating and slow, leaving Lainey breathless and wanting more with every pass of his tongue between her lips. There was nothing quick or frantic about their kiss. It was deep and rhythmic, drenched with passion that overwhelmed Lainey's entire body as Caleb pulled every inch of her against him with his muscular arms and strong hands.

When he finally pulled away, Lainey swept her tongue over her swollen bottom lip and brought her eyes to meet his.

"What are we doing?" she whispered.

"I don't know, but I can't stop." he replied, out of breath as he dropped his mouth onto hers again.

She smiled against his lips at his words and adored his infatuation with her kisses, opening her mouth to his and giving him full access to her tongue as he devoured her.

Wind rustled the trees behind Caleb, sobering them both as they broke contact and whipped their heads in that direction, fearing that they had been caught. Letting out a sigh of relief at the swaying branches, Lainey had to address the elephant in the room before they went any further.

"My dad can't know about this." she said, looking into his eyes as she searched for his reaction.

"I know." he returned, with the wheels in his head obviously turning.

"But that doesn't mean I don't want you." she hummed, pressing her lips gently against his one more time.

"I know." this time his words were slower and spoken between lips that were lifted into a half smile.

"So it'll have to be a secret...for now." she added, hoping he'd agree and not shut her down.

Every nerve in her body was on high alert, waiting for his response. She wanted to see where all these feelings she had for Caleb would lead, but the timing had to be right with her father. Ricardo was the patriarch of the family and despite Lainey being strong and independent, his approval meant a lot to her. The last thing she wanted was for him to view Caleb as unprofessional or assume he was taking advantage of her. He had fired guards on the spot who had shown interest in her in the past, which was the last thing she wanted.

But she was getting way ahead of herself. What if Caleb didn't want to pursue anything with her other than the kiss they had just shared? What if it was a temporary moment of weakness that he'd never allow again? Her mind was reeling and buzzing with questions that she didn't have the answers to, when his deep voice derailed her chaotic train of thought.

"I can do secret." he said with a delicious grin, placing another soft kiss on her lips.

Thank God.

He looked as relieved and satisfied as she felt as she stayed there, wrapped around his body.

After the heat of the moment had passed, Lainey's shoulders shivered a few times as the cool breeze danced across them and the cold temperature of the water truly set in.

"I tried to tell you it was cold," Caleb chuckled.

"Worth it." she grinned unable to stop her chin from shaking.

"Oh I agree, but there's no way in hell I'm keeping you in this pool with your teeth chattering like that. Let's get out and get you into some dry clothes. I'll go grab you a towel from the pool house."

Caleb immediately turned around, planting his hands down onto the tile that surrounded the pool in order to push himself up and out of the water. Lainey's mouth watered at the sight of Caleb's shirtless body and the water that beaded across his corded muscles. His shoulders and back were layered with thick muscle that flexed as he pushed himself out of the water and Lainey couldn't stop her wandering eyes as they traveled all over Caleb's perfect physique.
