Update: I'm really sorry for not updating often. I've been stuck creatively for a while and am trying to get back to writing. Let's see how this goes and thanks for your support!

Jumping up from my seat, I looked at Lucas to block in case it was someone we weren't expecting. I reached out my feelers to see who it was and sensed my brother right away. 'Hey, big bro' I sent as I ran towards the door.

Jeremy was easing out of the SUV when I walked outside. He immediately stood up and we caught eyes.

'What the f happened baby girl? Are you ok' He sent with a serious look on his face.

'I'm fine now. Something weird, I passed out Jer. We need to talk.' I responded.

'It's ok, we'll talk, but in private ok?'

I nodded in agreement worried that I shared too much with my recent saviors.

Jeremy came over and gave me a big hug whispering "you like the house?"

"It's amazing Jer but seriously... when did you do this?" I questioned out loud.

"It's pretty amazing. I can't wait to show you," he replied with a non-answer.

"I've seen the house."

"Oh, you have no idea Liv. It's more than what it looks like on the surface!" he hinted.

Liam groaned loudly and seemed to roll out of the truck as if he was just waking up. He ruffled my hair and walked inside without a word or acknowledgment to anyone else.

The sense of the group was on edge.

"Alright then.... Lucas, we need to chat." Jeremy gestured for him to follow as he walked inside "You two, go on your merry way please." he directed to Jason and Nick. Nick scoffed "You build a compound and now you want us to leave?"

"Let's go Nick" Jason commanded. Jason nodded at me and my brother in understanding and headed towards their car.

I followed Jeremy closely as he walked towards the living room. He sat on the couch and patted the seat next to him. I sat while Lucas hovered in the doorway.

"Come sit Lucas. I won't bite." Jeremy joked. He had a knack for making people nervous. It was his confidence coupled with his power that put almost everyone in a position of submission. My brother was physically and mentally strong though he often tried to hide that under a fun and playful demeanor. Today wasn't fun or playful. If I were Lucas, I'd be worried too.

We spent about an hour downloading all the information of what happened from the moment Lucas sensed the Feelers to my encounter in town and the passing out episode. Jeremy was acting odd. Being thoughtful and less aggressive than usual. It was actually nice to see him act like a real adult sometimes. He was being nice to Lucas, dare I say.

Liam walked in almost towards the end of the story interrupting with "Did we get to the part where she passed out and numbnuts over here called Nick the dick?"

Lucas flinched a bit at the comment but gathered himself quickly responded with confidence directly to Jeremy, "I called Jason as he was the closest. Nick just showed up and that wasn't my doing."

"Yeah well, now we're going to have to find a way to update the protections we put around this place as Nick legit broke through in the first pass," Liam responded disgruntled.

"What protections?" I quickly jumped in.

They both looked to Jeremy as if there was some sort of secret I shouldn't know. Their time in NYC has left me out of the loop and Lucas's stupid blockers were stopping me from the truth now.
