[Liv's POV]
I felt the sun on my face and almost thought I was outside until I cracked open an eye to spy where I was. The last thing I remembered was running to the car with Lucas. Everything was blank from then on, except the constant inner turmoil my mind put me through. The self doubt on one hand, telling me I would never succeed. The drive in me shouting to keep going forward, to focus. My mind was clear though at this point. It was blank from any outside influence. I turned slightly to see where I really was. It looked like a TV room. Couch, ottoman, television and huge windows facing outside where the sun was shining through relentlessly.
I felt him there then. It was Lucas, asleep with his head on my hands and body curled up next to the couch I was lying on. He looked peaceful again even in his uncomfortable crouched position.
As I woke more, he stirred and his eyes shot open searching for something. As he turned to me, he gasped. "Good morning?" I questioned, unsure of the time or day. "Did I pass out?"
His eyes blinked adjusting to the brightness of the room. "Hello" he responded, his shocked expression turning into a smile. "It's great to see you awake. We were worried for a bit there." He paused searching my face as we both got out bearings.
"We?" I probed both confused and a bit concerned.
"I had to call Jason and he called Jeremy. I'll explain later though. How are you feeling? Does your head hurt? Do you think you can sit up?"
"I feel fine. Pretty good, actually. My mind is so... so clear." I struggled to find the words to explain how amazing it felt to not hear noise in my head.
Lucas sat up straight on his knees and felt my forehead. He looked me over up and down checking for god knows what. I must have shocked him pretty fierce to warrant this kind of inspection.
"Let's sit you up," he said, bringing his arm under my head and across my shoulders. I felt Jason in the house then and I didn't mistake Nick's presence somewhere near as well. The weird thing was that I felt them, but it wasn't overpowering like it usually was. Just a faint sense that they were around.
I sat up slowly with Lucas's help, leaning on the arm of the couch and slowly swinging my legs front. He came to sit next to me, still examining me with his meadow green eyes. They were unlike any color I've seen on a person before, yet I remembered them turning dark when he was angry yesterday. My ability to reflect on this now was odd to me. I had room in my brain to think on multiple layers. Almost like multithreading in computer speak. In one thread I was tracking Nick, the other was tracking Jason. Both boys seemed to be heading towards us though I could tell that Jason would arrive first. Another thread was reflecting on the oddity that was Lucas's eyes and yet another was running through the events that occurred prior to my incident today. But was it still today?
"How long was I out?" I asked Lucas. He stopped his probing to look at his watch.
"You've only been out for an hour or so. I must have fallen asleep. Jason is here and so is Nick. I'm going to go get them," he said standing up.
I stopped him by putting my hand on his arm.
"No need. They're on their way right now."He looked at me questioningly but then we both heard footsteps coming toward us from somewhere else in the house.
'I'm awake now' I sent to Jason. He responded verbally, "I know Liv. I felt it. What just happened?"
"I think I sent you a feeling but I'm not sure. My mind is really weird right now," I explained.
