We found Henry and his friends beating up Mike. He was about to punch his face in with a rock until Bev threw a rock at him, knocking him off.

"Nice throw" Stan complemented as he still held onto my hand.

Mike crawled over to us, through the water.

Henry looked pissed to see me with my friends again, but at the same time, he looked relieved to see that I was okay.

"Y/n?"

I didn't know how to respond.

"Y/n, you need to come home" he threatened as he started to step forward. Stanley then stepped in front of me.

"You little prick. I swear to god if you touched her!" Henry yelled.

It's funny cause he did😏

Henry still thought that Stan was the one that hurt me. I still couldn't explained what happened last night. All I knew was that I was still scared of my brother.

"I told you to stay away from those fuckers, y/n. You stick around them any longer and you'll be a slut just like Bev"

Ben screamed louder than ever and threw a rock straight at Henry's head. Good aim.

"The fuck?"

Soon enough they all began to throw rocks at them and Richie just had to yell out, "Rock war!" Right before getting hit in the face with a rock.

I chose to throw my rocks at Henry's friends and not him, he was my brother after all and I couldn't bring myself to hurt him even though he had hurt me.

Henry's friends soon ran away, leaving Henry on the ground, alone. I shook my head at him and helped Mike up.

"Go blow your dad you mullet wearing asshole!" Richie yelled before giving him the finger.

As we walked to town with Mike, he began to thank us for what we did for him.

"Thanks, guys, but you shouldn't have done that. They'll be after you guys, too, now."

"Oh, no, no, no. Bowers? He's always after us" explained.

"Try being related to him" I added.

"Really? Is that when he meant by 'come home'?" Mike asked.

"Yeah"

"Welcome to the Losers' Club, Homeschool" Richie laughed.

When we reached town, we saw a big parade going on. We headed over to the alley way. Eddie went to get ice cream and Richie was playing the trombone, or at least he was trying to. We all took notice to the new missing persons sign. Edward Corcoran.

"They say they found part of his hand all chewed up near the Standpipe" Stan said.

"Shut up, Stan" I said as I tried to stop myself from throwing up.

"Sorry" he said.

"He asked to borrow a pencil once" Ben added.

Bill headed over to the sign and flipped it up to reveal the old Betty Ripsom sign.

"It's like she's been f-forgotten since Corcoran's missing"

"Is it ever gonna end?" I asked.

"What are you guys talking about?" Eddie said as he handed his extra ice cream to Richie.

"What they always talk about" Rich added.

"I actually think it will end" Ben said. "For a little while, at least"

"What do you mean?"

"So I was going over all my Derry research and I charted out all the big events. The Ironworks explosion in 1908, the Bradley Gang in '35, and the Black Spot in '62. And now kids being..."

I for sure felt the need to throw up now. Stan grabbed a hold of my hand as he saw my uneasiness.

"I realized this stuff seems to happen, every 27 years" Ben explained.

-

We all dispersed and headed our separate ways. Stans parents said they were gonna be out of town for a few more days, so Stan said I could stay with him longer if I wanted to. Of course I said yes.

The sun was still out and Stan had decided to go to the park to go bird watching. I came with him even though I had no interest in birds. I just liked being around Stan.

When we got to the park, Stan picked a spot perfect for bird watching. He set his things up and began to look around while I reread 'Emma by Jane Austen'. I laid my head down on his legs as he continued to look around and I read. We stayed like that for a while until I grew bored. I could only handle so much Mr. Knightly at one time.

I set my book down and sighed. Stanley was still oblivious to me. I sighed even louder, finally grabbing his attention.

"Yes?" He sarcastically laughed.

"Oh nothing" I teased.

"Am I boring you?"

"No......maybe" I laughed.

"Sorry if I don't find bird watching that interesting"

"You'd have to know more than two birds to enjoy it" he teased.

I lightly hit him in the chest for his snarky and witty comment. He let out a small laugh.

"You see that one over there?" He said as he pointed to a tiny yellow bird, seated on top of a the swing set.

"Yeah?"

"That is an American Goldfinch"

"Oh really? I thought it was a parrot" I sarcastically said.

He rolled his eyes at me.

"What are you reading?" He said as he picked up my book. "Emma?"

"You've read it?" I asked as I sat up.

"Oh god no. Nobody reads this sappy shit"

I pushed him over at his comment and he just laughed. What was he talking about 'sappy shit?'

"Rude" I said as I took my book back from him and he sat back up. I laid back down on his legs and opened the book once again to drown him out.

"If I loved you less, then I might be able to talk about it more" he said as he quoted Mr. Knightly. This left me wonderfully surprised and a smile grew on my face.

"So you have read the book" I amusingly said.

"Perhaps you'll recall this scene" he said before clearing his throat. "With whom will you dance?" He asked as Mr. Knightly.

He was obviously referring to the dance scene between Emma and Mr. Knightly.

I lightly bit my lip before responding, "With you, if you will ask me. You've shown that you can dance and we are not really so much brother and sister to make it improper."

"No indeed" he said as he stood up and offered me his hand.

My smile grew as I took his hand. We walked over to the open field and positioned ourselves to dance. We gave each other a bow before starting the dance. I had always dreamed about recreating this scene and the fact that I was able to recreate it with my favorite person made it even better.

We didn't know the dance, but kinda just went along with it and followed each other's lead. It might not have been as sophisticated as the book had described it, but it sure did feel magical. With every spin and step, I could feel myself falling more and more for Stanley.

With one final spin, Stanley pulled me into a passionate kiss. Tonight surely was a night to remember.
