Sobbing On Spooky Night

It was almost time for the best time of the year, Spooky night. Muki was preparing, very happily, thinking of all the spooky that's gonna go on. then it seemed like something struck her. "I forgot! I remember on the first day of Halloween break.." "I promised that I would go with them, without a costume.." [read chapter Halloween Break] "Oh no, wh, what am I gonna do, How could I forget?.." Muki said, stopping her dress up, and getting up. "What am I gonna do, huh." Muki sat down on her bed, now a bit troubled.

The two did expect Susy that night, and Pump was ready with his overglittered wrapped up video game gift in his hands. "Hey, Muki isn't here either, isn't that weird?" Skid said. "Its probably a girls thing, They are probably best friends and talk in the bathroom at school and-" Pump cut Skid off. "Its gonna be ok, I think. Maybe Muki can't come, I guess." Pump said.

Muki had spent about an hour thinking, and gave up on all her seemingly impossible plans. "Is my only choice to really show myself? I mean, I don't wanna let people down, but I can't teleport, or run nearly as fast as the speed of light! Nobody ever really liked me, except Skid, Pump and daddy.." Muki checked the time and she struggled to prevent herself from crying. "But they're expecting me, I gotta do it.." -Sniff-

Muki started to wrap up. "-Sniff- At least I can make it like, a fun surprise. I guess." Muki's time was running out as she wrapped really slowly.

"W-why isn't she showing up?" Pump said, looking at Skid.

"Im not sure, but I wouldn't give up." Skid said, trying to keep sadness away. "Well, she promised to come tonight, we can totally get a candy while we're waiting, Pump" Skid said. "Shes really late, but sure." Pump said, grabbing Skids hand.

"Whats up with him?" Kevin said. "Aaaay!" Skid said. "He's just waiting for somebody." "Well, he does not look very patient to me", he said, handing the two candy. Pump was visibly crying, and Skid got worried. "Um, Itsa Spooky Month, Baiiii!" Skid said. "Well, see ya soon, kids."

Pump had tears coming out of his mask. "Don't cry, um, I," Skid tried to comfort Pump by putting his hand on his shoulder.. Pump looked at the floor and sat near the sidewalk. "-Sniff.- Its ok. Im gonna stay here and not move." Pump said, with the same wobbly voice he had on the phone. "Ok, Im gonna sit with you, Pump. Ok?" Skid said, glad to have gotten Pump to calm a little. -Sniff-

Muki checked the time again. "Oh, I guess its 8:00." Muki said, taking her sweet time while a sob fest was going on outside all because of her. Muki's eyes opened wide again. "ITS 8:00?! Do I have memory loss?!" [Muki seems to have a disorder -_-] Muki lazily put on her mummy wraps, not worried anymore. "They probably left to have fun already! They couldn't have forgotten me?! On Spooky Day? No way.." Muki murmured as she ran downstairs fast, and burst through the door.

She looked around, not seeing the Spooky kids on the sidewalk. [thats how short they are] But muki did hear a soft sobbing sound. "Huh, who's that? I can't see anybod-" Muki paused. "Aghhh! Oh." Muki said, a bit startled to see the two. "H-hi Muki." Pump said, a bit more cooled down. "Aaay, Muki. you're a little bit late." Skid said, looking up.

"Yeah, I'm really late, sorry.." Muki said, moving her gaze to the little sad Pumpkin Kid. "Why are you sad? You look sad." Muki said. "Susy never came, I wanted to give her this, but shes not here. Im waiting for her to come here." Pump said. "I don't wanna talk about it." Pump said sniffling.

Muki felt really bad for him, and offered him a hug. "Im sorry, do you need a hug? Im really good at hugging sad people. I do it all the time for my dad." Muki said, trying to cheer him up. "Haha, yeah." Pump sniffed.

"Heey, can I come in this friend hug?"  Skid asked. Muki invited him into the baby hug, and Pump calmed down much more. "Thanks, that was nice. Im still gonna wait here though, ok?" Pump said. "You can go if you want. You know, do you have a secret crush too, Muki? I never knew what yours was. Only Skids." "I'm not leaving your side, and.. Well, I have a secret too, and im not gonna tell you until we're alone, okay Pump?" Muki said, returning the secret Pump gave to her.

"Could we go to the graveyard and talk?" Muki said.

"Why can't you tell me??" Skid said. "Do you have a crush on P-" "Shhh, silly!" Muki cut him off. "Aweee, okay. Im gonna keep sitting here while you say your thing."

At the graveyard, Muki asked Pump to sit down."What were you gonna say?" Pump said, wanting to hurry this up. "Hey, you wanna know my real name?" Muki said. "Really? your real name? I don't even know Skid's real name!" Pump said, surprised.

Muki stood up, and untied her hair. Pump was genuinely confused until she said her name.  "Uh, this might be a big surprise, but my name is Susy." Muki said, ripping off her toilet paper. "hey- wait don-"

Pump's eyes filled again, and he said "Why didn't you tell me?! I was waiting for nothing and you were here all along?!" Pump said, loudly. "Yeah, I hope you're not mad, Pump." Muki said, shyly. "Im not mad, im just surprised i've been asking you for advice on how to crush on you, you helped me with.." Pump trailed off. "How are you gonna hide this from Skid?!" Pump said worriedly, even forgetting to even crush on Muki.

"I don't think I have to, you know. I think Skid would find it funny. " Muki said, grabbing Pump's hand to walk back. Pump blushed, and tried to talk. "Yeah, Skid is gonna be really surprised, he dosen't know you have a double lif-"

"I KNEW IT!" Skid screamed. "It was you all along! I thought it was sus you were going into the same house with the same truck!" Skid said. "Wow- You knew." Muki was shocked he had guessed. "Also, you always acted the same, had the same blonde hair, and both really liked purple!" Skid said, with a finger pointed. "Uh,"

"Im sorry, y'all. I really just wanted some new friends, blend in, and not look weird at school, like I used to." Muki said. 🥺👉👈 "Um, since you're here, I guess, heres the thing I wanted to give you, even though you already know about it." Pump handed her the gift. "Oh this? you didn't have to wrap it up like that, And the thing is, I have this game." Muki said, trying not to snicker. "Oh, oops. I guess I messed up.." Pump said, a bit embarrassed. "Its okay, Skid can have it, I guess." Muki said, looking at Skid with his grabby hands. [grabby hands means GIMME NOW]

Skid got a glitter filled gift that he wrapped himself, and the three decided to walk and talk. "Thanks for the cool game, I didn't have this one yet!" Skid said. "Welcome, I actually happen to collect games, I only have a couple left to find." Muki said "You collect games? I wouldn't even be able to tell, I've never seen you have one or play one before." Skid said. "I store them in my closet so nobody can get them." Muki said, proudly. Skid snickered. [Note that the reason pump aint talking is because hes crushing lol]

After a round of funny jokes, crushing, and laughing, It was about time for Muki to go home again. "Before you go, can I ask you one thing?" Pump said. "Awee, is it gonna be a spooky date?" Skid said. Muki looked over. "Do you like me too? Because I like you, As you already know, I guess." Pump said. Muki smiled. "Yeah, of course I do, Pump! you're super cute!" Muki said, happily.

"Well, Im gonna see you guys tomorrow, as a mummy kid, ok? You already know its me." Muki said, ready to go home. "Baii!" Skid said. "Yeah, see you tomorrow!"

Muki went home, feeling pretty good it went better than she thought. "I guess it the end of spooky month, but never the end of spooky!" Muki said, skipping into her room. "See you tomorrow, Spooky!"
