Getting Funky

Muki hopped in the car, tossing her backpack to the side. She checked if she had forgot anything in it, but it was full. Muki's dad started the truck, and they were off. "Hey, dad, do you think the spooky kids are gonna be there?" Muki said, wondering. "I betcha, because this is the closest school. They probably take their costumes off, so if you wanna find them, you gotta look for them. And that's not gonna be an easy task, haha."  He said, not sounding serious at all. Muki thought about what the two might look like, and rolled her eyes.

Skid woke up. He was obviously still in his costume. He woke Pump up on the phone and said "Hey pump, we gotta get outta our costumes, you know our school has a horrible dress code." Skid said, sounding tired."Ok. we gotta wear something else so the hatzgang, AND the teacher doesn't get us in trouble." Pump said. Skid grabbed his bag and put a pre-packed lunch inside. Lila was in the car, waiting for skid impatiently. "See skid, even the neighbors are faster than us and they are NEW." Skid yawned, he forgot to comb his hair, so he just used his fingers, making it look worse. Lila drove off, in a rush to work and school.

Pump had patient parents. He put on his sweater, over his puffy cloud of hair. Pump walked downstairs and fluffed his hair in the mirror, got his bag and ran to his moms car. "Hey mom, are we gonna be tardy again? His mom sighed. "Sorry, sweetie. I think we might be tardy, again." She said as she started driving. "Eh, that's fine. Im still gonna see Skid, and after school we can talk the girl we met into being a spooky kid!" Pump's mom laughed. "Ooh, you met a girl? Is she cute?" Pump made the ew face. "No way!"

Muki arrived at school, people staring at her hair. Muki had natural long locks, and she preferred having her hair in a tie. a few girls looked at her and murmured about her being a new kid, and that she has too pretty hair to be a new kid.

Muki was kinda freaked out by being called cool, because she was normally called weird. It's probably  a new kid thing. She thought. Muki was not sure where to go, so she asked for directions from a teacher, and she was told to go to the cafeteria for breakfast, or skip it and head to Mrs. [Eh idc] Muki was pretty hungry, because she barely ate. Muki went to the cafeteria, and got in line.

Skid met Pump in front of the school, and after being glad they weren't tardy, they instantly began to talk about the same thing. Is that new kid here? "If  shes here, we could probably recognize her by her hair and what she wears." Skid said. "I think they like the color purple, because that's the only color I've seen her wear." Pump said, trying to remember. "Ok, so purple, pigtails, and yellow hair, that's gonna be pretty easy." Skid and Pump always ate breakfast, to chat and stuff their faces. Skid sighed. "She probably doesn't like us at all and she didn't even talk to us when we visited her HOUSE."

The two got in line behind Muki, and talked about her in earshot range. Muki turned around to see the two, one with puffy hair, another with straight hair. "Uh, are you  the spooky kids?" Skid and Pump stared for a second and nodded. "Don't tell the HatzGang-" They both said. "Wait- are you our neighbor? How do you know?

"You've seen me before, uh.. I do forgive you, though. "
