Title:Safety

Nowhere is safe except the place I dread so much.

The place I can barely leave in the morning.

My house.

My bedroom.

My bed...

School on its own is a war just to get through the day.

Halls like trenches you have to crawl through.

Classrooms are nuke zone heaven forbid the shooter calls your name.

The bus is a resting point between war lands.

But I soon find myself too tired to slug along to the food rations room.

I only go into the house one way, retracting the steps and track I take every war day.

Before I know it, I’m back up right where I began.
