The bright light shined in my bedroom making me wake up from my beauty sleep. There was a knock on my bedroom door.

Clearly not happy with the disturbance of the sun and whoever was on the other side of the door. I called "come in" to them. The door opened, revealing our maid Mrs. Lee.

"Good Morning Ms. Yoon Ah. Breakfast is ready in the dining room, shall I assist to your room?" She asked.

I was going to tell her no but I remembered I left my night out clothes and heels on the floor. "Do as you must, Mrs. Lee." I told her, crawling out of bed and heading to the bathroom where I undressed and hopped in the warm shower.

I felt the stress released from my body as I stood there letting the water hit my back. I couldn't stand there too long because breakfast was waiting and I know for sure my parents and brother was waiting for me too. I finished cleaning myself up, turned the water off, wrapped a towel around my body and walked in my room to my closet. I didn't see Mrs. Lee anywhere so I knew she did what she needed to do and left before I got out.

I put on high waisted ripped jeans with a white crop top on with a baby blue cardigan over the white top. I ran a brush through my hair not bothering to towel dry it. I rushed down to the dining room where all three of them were sitting and eating.

My mother gave me a disapproval look but I ignored her as I sat next to my older brother and fixed my plate.

"Yoon Ah, I would like you to join me this afternoon to Mrs. Jeon function. And please wear appropriate attire. I do not wish to be substandard to the lack of your flaws and disgrace at this event."

"Yes mother" I responded back to her.

"And while we are on the topic of disgrace. It seems that the head night security has told your father and I that thing that happened at 2 in the morning. It is not lady like for you to be riding on that death vehicle with a guy. Do you even know the that guy and how dangerous that—that THING is!! Are you even listening to me?"

I slammed the fork that I was using down on my plate. I counted to ten before sighing and looking to my mother. She had disapproval all over her face. " No Mother, I personally do not know him but if it wasn't for him, I probably wouldn't be here now so maybe you should show some gratitude towards him and as for "that thing" was the only transportation we had for him to get me home safe. Now if you excuse me, I have lost my appetite to eat and I will be going to my room if father or brother needs me, I will meet you at the front door before noon mother to go to this function you are forcing me to go."

I got up from my seat, leaned into my brother and kissed his cheek as a good morning to him and went to my Father and did the same before leaving the dining room and heading to my room where I sat there thinking about last night.

It wasn't long after when a knock pulled me out of my thoughts. "Come in." I called out to whoever it was. I faced away from the door, reaching for my fuzzy pillow on my made bed and started picking at it.

"Must you pick a fight with Mother?" My older brother asked making the bed dip down where he sat next to me.

I scoffed while rolling my eyes. "She was the one that started it, does she even care what could have happened if that man didn't step in when he did? She makes thing difficult and hard to breathe around her. I just want out Hakyeon. I want freedom from this and don't deny it, I know you want it too." I looked up at him to see the wheels turning in his head.

He always been there for me, he's been my rock since we both go through the same shit Mother puts us through. He understood. Would he be able to get out like I could? No he couldn't because he has a duty to father to run his company and the secret mafia I wasn't supposed to know about. Did I know? Yes because big mouth next to me told me and not only that there were times I would hear him and Father talking about the mafia before I entered the room to ask for something.
