Sundew's POV
Well, this is definitely different than the jungle. I'm just kinda mad that we have to rebuild our village. Maybe, I can be roomates with Willow. Oh SHOOT, I forgot we have to go to school. Great...
"Hey, you good?" Willow asked, concerned. "You look kind of sad er... mad."
"Yeah, I'm fine." Sundew replied. "I'm just bummed that we have to rebuild our village."
"Think of it this way!" Willow exclaimed, "We get to learn how the architecture was made!"
"Classic" Sundew grumbled, unhappily. "Always looking on the bright side."
"Oh, be quiet." Willow pushed her.
They walked along the new layout for their village. Willow steered Sundew towards the armory blueprint.
"Look what their building just for you!" Willow said as Sundew started tracing the outlines.
"What are we going to have in the armory with all the bugs back in the jungle?" Sundew asked.
"I don't know. Maybe armor?" Willow offered.
The bugs were our only defense. Now it's just spears? And armor? That's really sad. I wonder if the Rainwings have any weapons. Ooh! Or maybe those sand dragons know some things about fighting.
"You know what?" Sundew turned to Willow. "I have something I want to show you."
Willow followed Sundew through the woods. Sundew came to a clearing and pushed away some of the leaves. Willow gasped.
"How did you find this place?"
"I overheard one of the rainwings talking about it and I wondered what it was, so I decided to come look. This is what I found."
"It's beautiful!" Willow followed Sundew into the clearing.
The clearing had so many beautiful things. You could see the sun in the morning and the stars and moon at night perfectly. There was a waterfall flowing down on one side of the clearing and there was so many flowers and fruits. You could stay there for weeks and not go hungry. There was even a freesia. It was the most beautiful thing you ever saw. Willow came and sat down on the grass. A few minutes later, Sundew came and sat down by her.
"This is the most beautiful thing that I have ever seen! Thank you so much for bringing me here." Willow curled up next to Sundew.
"No problem. I knew you would love it here." Sundew picked herself up and walked over to a tree. She plucked a piece of fruit off a tree and handed it to Willow.
"Try this. I had one earlier and it was so good even though, we like meat."
Willow tried the fruit. "This is so good. What is it?"
"I think they are called starberries or maybe strawberries? It's one of the two. Sundew replied.
"They are called strawberries." Queen Glory observed the clearing.
"What are you doing here?" Willow asked as Sundew stopped looking startled.
Your queen said she needed to meet with you. How did I never know about this place?" The queen turned her attention to Sundew. "How did you know about this place?"
"I overheard one of the rainwings talking about it. I guess he didn't tell you." Sundew answered.
"What did he look like?"
"uhm... burgundy scales and scarlet flickers? I am not really sure, but that is what it looked like."
"That is very specific. Okay, I think I will have a talk with Bromeliad about being stealthy.." With that, Glory walked out of the clearing.
"Don't forget to go to your queen!" She called as she lifted off to fly back to her "palace".
