3. A Pained Heart

The next day, Sasuke again had seen Naruto.

"Hey Sasuke! I kept thinking about what you did yesterday!" he said.

"Do what?" The raven asked.

"Hug me and stuff!" The blondie chirped.

Sasuke sighed of relief. I thought he was talking about when I pushed him. Sasuke thought.

"Yeah..." The Uchiha said.

"I remembered that your whole clan got killed and your the last Uchiha, right?" The blondie exclaimed.

"Well, not exactly..." Sasuke said under his breath.

"What did you say?"

"N-Nothing!" The raven quickly replied.

"And anyways, doesn't that mean your lonely?"

The Uchiha glared at him "Why'd you say that so casually?"

"I-" Naruto began.

"You think it's normal to be lonely?" Sasuke snapped.

"No! I-"

"Then don't say it like that! You don't know what it feels like to be alone!"

Naruto looked down "Actually, I do..."

"Yeah right! You're just trying to mess with me!" The Uchiha said angrily.

"Of course not!" Naruto exclaimed.

"I can't believe a liar" Sasuke said, turning away.

"Sasuke! I promise you I'm not lying!" Naruto said.

"Yeah? Well how can I believe that?"

"B-Because..."

"Because what?" The Uchiha sneered.

"Because I don't have any family! I never have!" Naruto said.

Sasuke stared at the blonde Uzumaki with a cold glare.

"Yeah? You have proof?"

"I-...No, not really..." Naruto said.

Sasuke then grabbed Naruto by the collar of his shirt and growled. "Then you don't understand what it's like to be lonely!"

Naruto kept a straight face "Sasuke-"

"DON'T SAY ANOTHER WORD" Sasuke growled.

"BUT I DO KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE LONELY!" Naruto said.

Sasuke held his fist and punched Naruto in the face.

Naruto winced but kept his guard up.

"Sasuke if you would listen to me-"

Another punch to the face "I SAID NOT ANOTHER WORD"

Naruto stared at Sasuke, shaking with fear.

"IF YOU HAVE PROOF, THEN SHOW ME PROOF!"

"I told you, I don't have proof!" Naruto cried.

Sasuke again punched the blonde into the face, tears going down his face.

"The shut up!" Sasuke said, crying.

Two punches to the face.

"Why else do you think the villagers bully me!"

One punch into the face.

"I SAID SHUT UP!"

Another punch to the face.

"SASUKE! STOP!"

Another punch.

By then, Naruto's nose was bleeding and he had bruises around his face.

"SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP!" Sasuke cried, one punch after the other.

Tears began to streak down Naruto's face. "S-Sasuke...Please..."

Sasuke punched Naruto into the face one last time before he realized Naruto's cheeks were streaming with tears and he looked like he was in a lot of pain.

Sasuke then stopped, realizing what he's done.

Sasuke let go Naruto, who collapsed backwards, crying. He curled up into a ball as he cried in pain.

Sasuke backed away, then fell onto his bottom. He was shaking W-Why did I do that?... He glanced back at Naruto, who was shaking. No...I put in pain to Naruto who hasn't even done anything...

Regretting what he had done, Sasuke shakily stood up, watching the trembling Naruto cry, and ran away.

Why did I run away? Sasuke thought. He clutched his hands into fists. I'm going to see Naruto again today. I'll give him medicine. I'll apologize. Everything will be ok...Right?
