One and Only

Chapter 20 ~

*2 months after you moved into your apartment*

Y/N Pov~
It had been 2 months since I moved out of the avengers compound. I had bought an apartment a couple blocks down from the police station in New York, I hadn't spoken to any of the avengers at all and me and Wanda broke up the night I left. I had been doing pretty good on my own. I had a job at a cafe as a waitress and I had started doing small deals and going on secret missions if you will, just to have enough money to keep the apartment, I hadn't told any of the avengers where my apartment was and they hadn't tried to find me. This morning I woke up and got ready for work, once I got there my boss told me she was leaving for the rest of the week and that I would have to work double shifts. Well that was a great start to my morning ! During my lunch break I usually bring a sandwich but today I was feeling lucky and wanted something new... so I walked up the street to a in and out and ordered a burger, as I was waiting in line I realized something felt off maybe it was because I was ordering fast food during lunch or that someone was watching me. I glanced around the area seeing if anything was off , I found nothing after I got my burger. I walked outside to sit down at a park bench and eat my lunch in peace. After I finished eating I felt that same feeling again I looked around to see if anything was off and this time I got a glance of a familiar red headed russian, I didn't want to lead her back to my house so I ran straight to work and tried to think of what to do about what I saw knowing that she would want to talk or bring me back to the compound, I had gone undetected for months and I guess I blew my cover today since she found me. After my shifts I locked up the shop and started to walk home. I hated walking in the dark but I knew if I got jumped I would always have my powers to help, I got home and dropped my bags down taking off my shoes and flopping right onto my bed. I knew I had a deal tonight at 8 and I had to get ready for it but with Natasha out there I didn't know if she would be there or maybe she didn't even see me and it was just a coincidence at the park, I tried to convince myself that was the case but I knew I had to be careful. I got ready for my deal and walked out the door locking it as I was walking down the street I got the same feeling again and this time decided to listen to my gut and get in a cab instead of walking there in the dark, as I called the cab over I saw someone turn the corner staring at me so I jumped in the cab and drove off before anything happened. Once I got to my destination I walked into the back of the building and met my client. It was a new client this week, You got the stuff ? The man who asked me sounded odd, almost like he was trying to make his voice deep, I couldn't see their face because they had a hood and a mask on. Ya I got it ! you got the money ? He then handed me the cash and I handed him the cell phone. I had been selling cell phones that didn't need payment and had no tracking. He then grabbed my head tightly as I was giving them the phone, HEY ! LET GO ! Not so fast you're coming with me and before I knew it there was a towel around my mouth laced with Chloroform, I passed out.

Avengers Pov~
We got Y/N ! we're bringing her home now but she isnt gonna be happy Tony, Nat said on the comms, ya well she isn't meant to be happy she is selling illegal things just get her to the compound now ! Were on our way...

*a couple hours later*

Is she awake yet ? Nope not yet I think you put too much on the towel Steve scoffed, ya right ! I put a few drops she should be awake by now ! Nat said, trying to hide the worry in her voice. How is she ? Wanda said walking into the room looking at Y/N in the cell, She's fine you don't have to worry about her. "You're not dating anymore" Nat scoffed under her breath, ''Right ! But I still care for her and she was the one who called things off not me ! I still have feelings for her Nat. Okay i'm sorry I didn't realize after 2 months you would still care, Whatever... Wanda ? Y/N said quietly everyone's head immediately bolted towards Y/N, Holy crap Y/N your awake ! Oh my Gosh Y/N you dumbass why would you sell fake cell phones for money ! and why the hell would you go on a mini killing spree ! Nat said annoyed and mad.

Y/N Pov ~
I woke up to a loud ringing noise and a bright light in my face. I covered my eyes with my hand before hearing people talking. The sound was muffled but there, once my eyes adjusted to the light I tried to look around to see where I was. I then saw a familiar silhouette in the bright light, Wanda ? I said quietly my sight was a bit blurry but I could see enough for everyone's heads to bolt looking at me. Holy crap Y/N your awake ! Wanda said running towards the cell, Oh my Gosh Y/N you dumbass why would you sell fake cell phones for money ! and why the hell would you go on a mini killing spree ! Nice to see you too Nat. Agh my head is killing me why am I in here ? Y/N what do you mean ! you went on a stupid streak and sold fake phones and killed people ! and you're wondering why you're in here ! are you SERIOUS ! Nat relax I have no idea what you're talking about I said trying to stand but immediately collapsing back onto the group and blacking out, I couldn't see anything but black and I could only hear loud ringing and muffled voices. I screamed in pain, not sure what was going on, grabbing my head and holding asking for it to stop !

Avengers Pov ~
Holy crap Nat how much Chloroform did you put on that towel ! you practically messed the kid up ! I didn't put that much STEVE ! Wait what's wrong with her ? I don't know I will go get bruce steve said running out of the room. Y/N listen to me, you're gonna be okay ! just focus on my voice. I'm right here ! Nat what do we do ! I don't know Wanda. We wait for Steve to come back with Bruce, Wait I have an idea! open the cell door ! What Wanda are you crazy I'm not letting you in there with her she could be dangerous ! Nat it Y/N she isn't dangerous and she is in pain let me help her ! Nat then opened the cell door and Wanda ran inside scooping Y/N up into her arms and shushing her, Shhh Shh its okay Y/N i know it hurts but push through it ! I'm right here Y/N you can do this. Steve Finally ! Where is Bruce ? Right here ! where is she ? Bruce said, walking in the room with a bunch of medical supplies, In there with Wanda. Okay we're gonna give her a sedative to calm her down she must be allergic to the chloroform or something, Wanda I need you to put Y/N on the medical bed. Alright Y/N let's take a look Bruce said injecting the sedative into Y/N, that should stabilize her for now she is experiencing a lot of Shock and Trauma causing her to freak out she doesn't know where she is or who we are but the sedative should help her with that. Umm guys look at Y/N neck ! Wanda said, removing Y/N hair from her neck, What the hell is that ? Steve asked Its a red room symbol. It means mind control Nat said, moving closer to Y/N to look at her neck. WHat do you mean is Y/N being mind controlled ? Is that why she went all crazy ? Because I know she didn't have this before Nat ! Wanda started to cry. I'm not sure Nat said holding Y/N hand... we can't take any chances she will have to stay here until we can be sure Y/N is well Y/N, Steve is right she should stay here until we figure out how to remove whatever that is.
