We walk home together
Ash lives near me
A few houses away
I am delighted.
But we have to
Say goodbye.
I don't want
To bid farewell
Just yet.
I don't know
How to say it though
Your smiles
Are too blinding
For me to form
A coherent thought
Like that.
Goodbye, Ash, I say.
Bye, you reply back, cheerily
And you are gone.
