8-Jae in Minjae

SUNGHOON'S POV

He starts to wake up. For sure he'll go crazy again. I stood up from the bed, I leaned on the wall, watching him.

"You're finally awake."

He turned his head to me. He looks lost haha.

"Why did you do that?"

I tilt my head.

"Why not?"

"It's not funny Sunghoon. You can't just pull down your mask any time that you want to."

I stopped smiling. He is always serious to me but not THIS serious. Okay. I might offended him.

"But I just want to show you this."

"What are you going to show for f—"

I opened the color indicators. I'll just call it like that. I don't have a clue what's this.

I saw him stop. And there goes the pretty colors on his eyes again. So pretty.

JAKE'S POV

I hate him. I hate him so much. He used his power again. It's not really a power of his but can you blame me if I faint every single time he pulls his mask!?

"But I just want to show you this."

He's very stubborn! I hate it!!!

"What are you going to show for
f—"

And he pulled the color chart.

"T-that's...."

Very pretty.

I can't take my eyes of it. For the moment, I just focused my attention to it. I want to make sure that I'll remember each and every detail about these unknown colors.

But not for long.

I sighed. It's gone again. I looked at Sunghoon. Why is he staring at me?

"What?"

"You look very innocent whenever you stares at the colors."

Glaring at him, I stood up.

"Where are you going?"

"Away from you."

I walked out. I know I shouldn't do this but he's making everything complicated.

HE IS SUPPOSED TO RUN AWAY FROM ME. HE IS SUPPOSED TO STAY AWAY. WHY IS HE COMING CLOSER INSTEAD?

I'm scared. I really am. The thought of me hurting my probe never entered my mind. Not until today.

I still have time from the vacant. I just stayed outside. Thinking.

"I see you have a lot in mind."

I glanced at the person who sat beside me. Minjae?

"Minjae?"

He looked at me then smiled. Oh. This must be his other side.

"I'm Jae. Minjae is not yet around."

Okay. That was a little bit weird than I thought.

"So uh. Hi?"

"You're a mono right?"

I stared at him. This guy is too serious.

"Yeah."

"And you're scared."

I stopped. Am I really that easy to read?

"You don't need to. I've encountered cases like that. You know what. You just need to be open for everything."

"I just can't accept him open arms. You know what's going to happen if I start opening up to him."

He firmly spoke.

"Why are you scared? Don't tell me you're really planning to hurt him too?"

No. Even if he's too annoying. Even if I hate him. No. I don't want him to get hurt.

"Your face says it all. You're only scared because your feelings are growing. You're not scared that you'll hurt him. Because you know it yourself that you can't. You will never hurt him."

"How can you be so sure? I don't even know it myself?"

Okay. If this Jae is really this serious, then might as well just voice out all of my thoughts.

"There is a big difference with not knowing and not accepting  You know that you can't hurt him.  But you're just not accepting it."

"Try to trust him Jake. Open up. He won't hurt you. I can see it. He might look like he's not thinking but he really cares for you."

"We've never saw him give someone THIS attention."

I looked at him. He sounds lighter now. Is this finally Minjae?

"Minjae?"

"Did you know that the thing that he gave you a while ago is hard to find? I bet he searched for the whole night just to find it for you."

I know. Because once, me and aunt Aera tried to search for the color chart. But we didn't find any. But he did.

"Stop closing doors for someone. Stop closing doors for Sunghoon."

"But for now~ Let's go back to class! We still have a few minutes left. Let's go?"

Minjae said as he stand up. I followed him. His words echoing in my mind.

Fine. I guess it won't be that bad to open up to him.
