'And then you told her you're not just her hookup,' Anya says.
'Well not exactly but yes,' Lexa says. She looks down at her plate. She agreed to having a lunch date with Anya, but she didn't come here to have Anya make fun of her. 'I think you might have overreacted a bit,' Anya says.
'Well I stand by my point,' Lexa says. She looks at Anya. Her expression is full of pity. 'Don't make this about my ex,' Lexa says.
'Don't you think you're directing your anger about Costia at her?' Anya asks. 'I think that Clarke girl is just confused about sleeping with you,' Anya says.
'I know it's confusing for her and it is for me too but she doesn't have to be such a bitch about it,' Lexa says.
'All she did was ignore you,' Anya says.
'Why are you on her side on this?' Lexa asks.
'Because you're being unreasonable to her,' Anya says. Lexa scoffs. 'You weren't there,' Lexa says.
'I know Costia hurt you but you can't hurt Clarke because of that,' Anya says.
'Well I'm not the one who is being all cold when a person offers breakfast after you slept with her,' Lexa says.
'Lexa you can't tell her all that because you're still mad at your ex and directing that anger towards her,' Anya says. 'Get over Costia and talk to Clarke. I have to go now,' Anya says. Anya gets up and walks away. 'I am over Costia!' Lexa shouts. 'Who's Costia?' Clarke asks. 'And who was that?' she asks.
'My friend Anya why?' Lexa asks. Clarke sits down on the chair Anya was previously sitting on.
'Forgot my ke-' Anya says. Clarke turns around on her chair to see Anya approaching the table. She tilts her head. 'Lexa I swear to god if this is not Clarke I'm gonna-,'
'I'm Clarke,' Clarke says.
'Oh hi nice to meet you. Lexa is annoying, I'm just saying,' Anya says.
'Anya!' Lexa says. When Anya leaves Lexa turns back to face Clarke.
'Why are you here Clarke?' Lexa asks.
'I was on my way to the grocery store and then I saw you and we still needed to talk,' Clarke says.
'We talked at school,' Lexa says.
'That was just you telling me you're not gonna sleep with me anymore without it meaning anything,' Clarke says. 'And you were right, but I have something to say as well,' she says.
'Clarke I'm sorry about that. I snapped,' Lexa says.
'It's fine Lex,' Clarke says.
'No it wasn't about you it was about my ex,' Lexa says.
'Messy breakup?' Clarke asks. She takes a sip of Lexa's drink. 'Very messy, but I'm over her,' Lexa says.
'But you're still mad at her,' Clarke says.
'Yeah but I meant what I said about meaningless,' Lexa starts.
'No I know. I'm also still mad at my ex you know,' Clarke says.
'Why?' Lexa asks.
'Apparently he was cheating on someone else with me,' Clarke says. 'But I'm over that too,' she says.
'I'm sorry that happened to you,' Lexa says.
'It's been four years and the other girl and I are best friends now,' Clarke says. Lexa chuckles.
'Do I know him?' Lexa asks.
'Finn Collins,' Clarke says.
'Oh he's in one of my classes. He's so full of himself. He tried to flirt with me,' Lexa says. Clarke chuckles. 'Really? What did you say?' Clarke asks.
'I told him I'm a lesbian,' Lexa says. Clarke chuckles.
'This is nice but you came here to talk,' Lexa says.
'Well not exactly but yeah,' Clarke says.
'You do know that I know the closest grocery store is not anywhere near this restaurant right?' Lexa teases.
'Oh shut up,' Clarke says as she throws a french fry at Lexa.
'Did you just throw the food that you stole from me at me?' Lexa asks. Clarke smiles.
'Anyways,' Clarke says. 'I'm sorry for this morning. I just promised myself to go to your house and then tell you this couldn't happen ever again and then I saw you leaning against the doorframe and I just couldn't control myself,' Clarke says.
'Do you regret it?' Lexa asks.
'No and that's what scared me,' Clarke says.
