Anchors

Liam was getting beaten up. He hated Gabe but he had to control his shift. 

'Think about your anchor Liam.' Scott's voice played in his head. His anchor. His anchor. The struggle for Liam was he didn't have one.

Gabe dragged him into the boys locker room constantly punching him. Liam's eyes shone amber for a split second but he managed to stay under control. Then there was a scent. A familiar scent that Liam liked. He thought of the boy that the scent belonged to and suddenly found it easier to say human.

Liam fought back to Gabe pushing him on the ground. Liam started to leave until Gabe said something.

"I will prove it one day Liam. You can't hide forever"

"Not whilst Theo Raeken exists" He argued back.

He was Liam's anchor after all.
