I was just playing games on my phone, waiting for Haleigh to come back, when suddenly, I got a call from a random number. I hung up, considering I didn't know who was calling. Then they called again. I hung up again. Then they messaged me...
If you do not answer me, I will kill your precious girlfriend! Open this door and step down!
Oh my god....
How.... How did Josh get my number?!?!?! Soon, another text came in...
I mean it!! If you do not open this God damn door I swear!!! LET ME IN!!!
I was horrified. Then he called back again.
"H-hello?..." I asked.
"I know where your girlfriend is! You will open this door, or I will kill her!" He shouted through the phone. I was terrified. It was either my life or hers. I sighed.
"You win, Josh." I said as I walked closer to the door. I had to keep my promise to Haleigh. I can't let her get hurt. I turned the door handle. Once I did Josh stood there, waiting for me.
"What do you want?" I asked. Suddenly i felt something small sharp and pointy hit me. I blanked out.
{-Haleigh's POV-}
It was 5 P.M. so rush hour was going to happen soon. I knew I had to step on it!
The hotel was a quarter mile away. Just one more turn right. Suddenly, traffic got in the way! I had no choice. I parked my car in the nearby parking lot and made a run for it.
I ran faster than I ever thought I could run. I burst through the hotel doors, ran up to the elevator, immediately pressed where my room was, and ran off to my room. When I got there. I saw the door left open... Oh god no!!
I opened the door... Korbyn wasn't in the room!!!
"Korbyn!!! please tell me this is a joke!" I called out. Tears were streaming down my cheeks. Suddenly. My phone vibrated.
It was Josh...
If you ever want to see your boyfriend again, you will marry me! You have three hours to make your decision. Be wise, Haleigh.
I was broken. Either break up with the best person I've ever known for a complete and total asshole, or watch my boyfriend die in front of my very eyes!
Megan and Hunter ran into the room,
"KORBYN NOOOOO!!!" I cried as I collapsed to my knees. I couldn't lose him! Not now! Now ever! I knew what I had to do...
"I... I have to marry Josh! For Korbyn's sake I have to marry Josh!" I sobbed.
"Haleigh no! I can't bare the though of you marrying that jackass!" Megan cried.
"WHAT CHOICE DO I HAVE?!?! LET KORBYN JUST DIE?!?!?!?!!?!" I screamed.
"Haleigh. Calm down." Megan walked up to me and sat down next to me, trying to make me feel better. It wasn't working.
"Megan... The only way no one gets hurt is if I go with Josh! And I have two and a half hours to go to where he is and tell him I will marry him. If I don't........" I sobbed harder.
Megan sighed. I could tell she was heartbroken. I see why. Josh is a jerk and should be arrested for his crimes. But if I wanted Korbyn to live, I had to marry Josh.
"Okay... Let's just go before Josh hurts Korbyn..." Megan sighed.
"No. You're staying at the hotel. I'm not risking your life especially when Corpse Husband is your... Husband." I said firmly. It was hard though, considering how hard I was crying.
