Her Ginger red hair bounced lightly around her head as she walked down the old town alley. She knew the town like her own back pocket, the tall narrow houses pressed tightly up against each other on the mountain.
Her own house was located longer up the mountain a bit away from the town, it had bothered her when she was younger, but it didn't anymore, she had become used to it now. And it was not bad getting Some exercise.
She walked further up the cobblestone paved road, when she came by the bakery.
She stepped into the bakery where the baker stood at the desk. " Salut Bedelia!" The Baker smiled "comment vas-tu et ta mère?" He asked her."On va bien merci" she replied. And her and her mother did have it good. Most times. "Et toi et Marie?" She asked. "nous allons bien, merci" The Baker replied, which warmed Bedelias heart, she had heard from her mother, the baker and his wife had been distant, she was glad to hear they were good now. "l'habituel?" The baker asked. "Oui s'il te plaît" She replied as the baker took a bread out of the very old pizza oven. "avez-vous besoin d'un sac?" The baker asked when the bread was sat on the counter. "non sinon merci j'ai moi-même" She replied and took up her fabric bag from her little red shoulder bag. The baker put the bread down the fabric bag that was now placed on the desk. "votre pain Mademoiselle" the Baker said and handed her the bag "Merci" Bedelia said and grabbed the bag Walking out the bakery smiling.
She walked longer up the mountain with the bag in her hand, when a blonde girl she would recognize anywhere went up to her. "regarde une fois, le petit gingembre" The girl also known as beth said with a evil smile on. "laisse moi être Beth" Bedelia said grabbing harder around the bag in her right hand why couldn't Beth leave her alone. Another girl appeared, one of beth's little slaves. "je ne pense pas" Beth replied with an evil smirk. It really had to be hard being 16. "Je veux dire, laisse-moi rentrer à la maison" Bedelia said as She began feeling a burning sensation boiling in her. "non, tu dois rester ici" Beth said. God not again it was always like this, they had to stop on her way home. "malheureusement je dois rentrer à la maison" She said pushing through them, but right as she did Beth grabbed her wrist digging her nails in Bedelias skin. "laisse moi partir!" Bedelia screeched trying to her Out of Beth's grip. "Non!" Beth said digging her nails further down her skin. "Laisser aller!" Bedelia now shouted and writhed free of Beth's grip. Before Beth could react, Bedelia stormed up the alley.
Once she had gotten long enough, she was sure they would not follow, she was almost home. She had just gotten of the alley and out of town and there was only 500 meters to her house. She walked up the gravel path to her house.
She walked through the gate into her garden and up to her front door. It was not locked which meant her mother was home. She walked through the big doors and into the big ballroom, to her left was the big kitchen-dining area, to her right the living room and 15 meters In front of her was the main staircase. The ballroom had ceiling in two stories' tall and was in a very Victorian style. "I've got bread with me!" Bedelia shouted in a singing voice, as she slipped of her sneakers. "Brilliant!" Her mother smiled jogging out of the kitchen and over to where Bedelia stood. Her mother always made dinner herself and never wanted help. Bedelia thought it might be because of her so come missing dad. She had never known him, he disappeared right after she was born. Or at least that was what she was told." Remember sweetie, Fabian are coming for dinner tomorrow" Her mother said grabbing the bag and walking back to the kitchen. "Is he bringing his wife?" Bedelia asked. "Yes, and his son" her mother replied. 'Oh god, not his son' thought Bedelia. "Lovely" was all Bedelia could say, she didn't wanted to be rude. Her mother was already in the kitchen preparing their dinner and Bedelia did not want to be caught in her lie, so she went to the big stairs leading up to balcony looking thing that went all around the ballroom on the 1st floor. She jogged up the stairs remembering to hold on to the gold railing. She went through the door right Infront of the stairs, leading to her bedroom. She opened the big door and went into her room. Her bedroom was very large with at least 5-meter-long walls. By the wall to her right, stood her queen seized canopy bed in the middle, with the headboard up against the wall. Her bed was covered in rosy covers and pillows; matching the curtains around the bed. At the opposite wall was her white Victorian desk with gold details on the curved legs. Beside it was her matching dresser, with a vase on top filled with pink roses. At the end wall was to large glass doors leading out to her balcony.
When she stepped in her barn owl cooed in its cage and her black cat laying on her bed looked over at her. "Bonjour moi animaux" she said smiling, she then walked over to the cage besides her bed and opened it. The owl stayed not getting out. "Veins Ozzie" She said and placed her arm so the owl could sit there. The owl hopped out and sat down on her forearm. She kissed the owl on its forehead as it scooted on her arm. "I love you Ozzie" she whispered. She then turned around to her bed looking at the big black cat half asleep on her bed. "petit chat paresseux" she said giggling to herself. Suddenly her phone bibbed, and the screen lit up." off Ozzie" she said, and the owl hopped of her arm and plopped down on the bed. She took up the phone and pushed the home button. '1 message received' it said. She clicked on the message, it was from Eliza her bestie. Hi babes, Comment allez-vous?' The message said, it was nice knowing someone cared about you. 'Je vais bien et toi?' She replied, right as the screen went black. 'No, no, god no, why now' She thought to herself as the phone was out of battery. She angrily placed it down her desk 'Urrggh!'. She went out to the balcony to cool down a bit and right as she opened the doors, cool evening air blew lightly in. She stepped out on the cold stone balcony and breathed in the cold air. It smelled like campfire in the air, probably her mom cooking.
As timed her mother came into her room "Dinners ready sweetie" her mother said in a sweet voice "fantastic" Bedelia said as she turned around and smiled at her mother. Her mother smiled and went downstairs. Bedelia closed the doors to the balcony and walked out of the room.
They sat in complete silence eating; the only sound was the sound whenever one of them sank their food. The silence was then broken by her mother "So, tomorrow I want you to wear something nice" Bedelia looked up from her plate and into her mother's eyes. "When you say nice, you mean?" Bedelia asked and raised one eyebrow. "Nice, like in dress nice" her mother replied. "Sure, I can wear a dress tomorrow" Bedelia said in a calm, somewhat emotionless voice. "Thank you, I appreciate that" her mother said and smiled at her.
Bedelia soon finished eating and stood "thank you for the food mom." She said and smiled, and she honestly was grateful for her mother's cooking. "Your welcome sweetie." Her mother said and smiled. Bedelia walked from the table and over to the kitchen counter, where she placed her plate.
She then went to her room already tired of hearing about tomorrow's dinner. She got into her night dress and fell asleep right as she hit her pillow.
