Slowly, Sam opened his eyes, groaning, "what the..." His gaze was obscured by some kind of cloth covering his eyes.

He tried to take the blind fold off, to get some idea of his surroundings, but he found his hands were tied, literally. "Well that joke didn't work very well" Sam commented.

It appeared Sam was tied up in thick ropes, to the point he was barely able to move. Normally he would try to find some way to escape but, what could you do when you couldn't even move.

I mean, in his line of business, it was quite common to find yourself trapped like this, the only difference between this time and the others, was it seemed this particular snare was more well put together, in the sense it wasn't loose and the blindfold covering his eyes prevented him from finding clues of the whys and hows of this predicament.

If he could just get his blind fold off then he could get an idea of his surroundings and maybe use that to his advantage, for example, if he knew he was in a cave, he could use a stalagmite or something to cut through the ropes. Or if he was trapped in a kitchen he could maybe set up a knife to be propelled in such a way that could cut through his ropes.

As he sat pondering he heard a familiar voice.

"Huh? What's going on" questioned a confused and groggy Yakko.

"Yakko!?" Sam felt a panic shoot up in him, were the others here too? "what in the name of lima beans jumping on caterpillar themed bean bags are you doing here? Are you alright"

"Dad??, uh, yeah, yeah, I'm fine, I can't see anything though, and I think I'm tied up" Yakko explained "Do you know what's happening?"

"Well, it seems we two, are the first to wake up after our unfortunate kidnapping by some sort of mysterious and unknown figure"

"Well I would have to say that isn't good" Yakko commented.

"And I would have to say you were right on that opinion"

A few seconds went by, before "Wakko? Dot? You here?"

Oh, they hadn't spoken yet, had they? Sam felt another swell of panic, where were they? What if this was all some elaborate death trap? What if the two had already succumbed to it? Another terrifying thought entered Sam's mind, what if Max had too? He hadn't heard Max either.

How long had it been, an hour? a day? He didn't know how long he'd been unconscious. Was that really all it took to lose 3 members of his family?

He was beginning to spiral. He couldn't freak out, not now, not with Yakko still here. He knew how much the kid cared for his siblings. He couldn't just put that image of Wakko and Dot in Yakko's mind.

The kids were a pretty balanced mix of Max and him, but Yakko definitely had more of Sam than the Lagomorph. He wasn't sure, but if something were to happen to Wakko or Dot, Yakko could go full noir.

Remembering how he felt when Max's brain was stolen, Max wouldn't wish that on his worst enemy, much less his own child. Not to mention that whole, noir thing, was a tad embarrassing, looking back on it, he wouldn't wish that sort of pain on anyone either.

With those thoughts in mind he did the only thing he could.

"Wakko! Dot! Max! Where are you?"

"Marco!"

"Olly Olly Oxen Free"

"Bloody Marry, Bloody Marry, Blood Marry!"

"Kids! Dinner Time"

This went on for several minutes before they heard a new voice.

"Dad? Yakko? What are you guys yelling about" Dot Yawned "I'm trying to sleep... Alright, why am I blindfolded?"
