chap21: angel of destruction(2)

Nayeon's pov

Everything was black and my head was pounding so hard. Groaning, i slowly flutter my eyes open to see red blurring my vision.

With shaking hands, i wiped my closed eyes and when i open them once again i saw blood covering my hands. My mind was hazy and i had no idea what was going on, that was until i heard the screams and shouts from far away.

I took some seconds to pull myself back together, shaking my head slightly to regain full consciousness. Just when my mind was fully conscious, all the memory from before i black out came back to me like a wave.

I snap my head in panick towards the front and what i saw make a gasp leave my lips.

A huge crater was formed near the ruins of what was the 2Cs base. In the middle, a man with ripped clothing was floating in mid air, glorious white wings attached on his back.

Jin.

Ignoring the burning sensation in my throat, i made my way towards the carter where several people are trying to fight off Jin, who seems to have transformed into some kind of angel like being. Just as i am nearing the location, my feet stopped when my eyes landed on the figures sprawled and crushed by boulders of stones.

Jihyo, Suga, Momo and Jeongyeon's body were cut in so many places, their bones dislocated and blood flows out from their wounds. The view made me sick.

I have always thought of this missions as a game. A fun game with more people like myself and Jeongyeon. But mow that i have seen people dying, and see my friends' dead bodies, everything became so real.

With shaking breath, i turn my head away from my friends' corpses and towards Jin-no. He was no longer Jin. He was no longer the Jin i know and love.

Anger build inside of me and all i could think of is to kill the monster before me. He killed my friends. And he killed and took over the body of the man i love.

I have to end this.

Author's pov.

"This is not good!" Eunha shouted towards her teammates. Blood slowly dripped from her eyes as she used too much of her powers to chain the angel in her dome of giant roses. "I don't think i can hold on much longer!"

Jaebum tsk-ed as he backed Eunha up by layering her roses with his ice.

Currently, the revolts are still trying to fight Jin while blocking him from causing any more destruction. Since all of the 2Cs are thrown away to who-knows-where, they had to use their all to fight the monster before them.

"My black holes are useless against him!" Yuju yelled her usual neatly tied red hair were now a mess. The black hole controller used all of her powers to create a black hole around him, shooting meteors towards the angel of destruction.

"My stars did no damage!" Umji said in panick, focusing herself to attack with hundreds and hundreds of star-shapped disc. But every attack were repelled by this force field around him.

Thunder roared as blue flashes of lighting rip the sky in half under the command of the lightning controller. The blue bolt of lightning hits the top of Jin's head in monstrous speed, again and again, but the cosmic shield protected him from each one of the attacks. Feeling drained from the maximum energy he used, Youngjae staggered back, heaving as his heart beat accelerates.

Disc of stars, lightnings, the energy of destruction-every power combined but none can even break through Jin's cosmic barrier. The strength was indeed multiplied compared to Jeongyeon's.

After about an hour of fighting nonstop, Jin has finally had it. The angel raised his hand and with one swift gesture, metal objects strated to fly around the revolts, stabbing and grazing them.
