Depressing

Zayn stared at Aura throughout the dinner.

She looked breathtaking. Her tiny black dress hugged her curves and her black heels made her taller. She came up to Zayn’s forehead now, or at least that’s what Zayn estimated. Her hair was not down like usual. It was in an elegant French bun and Zayn loved it just as much. The candlelight illuminated her face and contrasted perfectly with her electric blue eyes that had flecks of purple and green in them. It was mesmerizing and captivating.

He knew he was staring and a lot of people-including her a few times- had caught him but Zayn couldn’t help himself.

God, did he love her.

Zayn didn’t realize time whenever she was anywhere near him. Zayn couldn’t see anyone else whenever she was in Zayn’s sight and Zayn couldn’t hear anything whenever she speaks.

And that’s how depressing it is.

And that is exactly why Zayn doesn’t even realizes when the awards round ends until Liam waves at him.

When the question round begins he hopes to every god he knows that no one asks him a question but of course why would the supreme dude like plain ol’ Zayn?

“Zayn, you know, you’re popular, good-looking, rich and you’ve got good grades, then why didn’t you ever date a single girl all throughout high school?” Emily, the chill girl asked

Zayn did not know how to reply.

He couldn’t just tell her how big a miserable loser he was. He couldn’t tell how pathetically in love he was with her best friend (because Emily was Aura’s best friend).

So he just gave her a sad smile and replied while looking at the beautiful brunette on her right,” Never found the right girl.”
