He saw the world in many shades of grey and was a risk taker ever day of his life
Those damn green eyes. He stared at me, I felt frozen in time. Those old feelings I thought I buried long time ago came back like a tidal wave. I snapped out of my stare when I heard my name called. "Kailey?!" I turned my head slightly and saw Matt looking at me astonished.
I got back into character quickly, I smirked giving them both a small wave before walking back up the rape. I got back stage, I placed my face in my hands and let out a deep sigh of relief. I looked back up and saw random people staring at me as if I was an alien from mars. I rolled my eyes and was about to head back to Steph until I heard my name called again.
"Kailey!"
I froze, my eyes widened and I sighed defeated "Damn it." I turned around and saw her stomp towards me shocked and slightly pissed. My hands felt sweaty as I watched her red hair slightly flying in the wind as her green eyes shined under the fluorescent lights.
I waved slightly and smiled feeling awkward, "Hey Amy." I said. She glared at me as she stopped right in front of me "Oh don't you 'hey amy' me! Do you know how long it has been since I last saw you?! Five years and I was worried sick! You just vanished and left Matt and I without a best friend and Jeff-" She paused shaking her head. "You hurt him Kailey." She said and my heart hurt.
I shook my head "I know and I feel horrible about it but I left a note for Jeff. I really need-"
"What note?" The redhead asked confused.
I raised an eyebrow "The one I left for him.." I said pausing as I saw Matt and Jeff walking though the curtain. Matt turned his head our way and saw me, the brunette looked like he had seen a ghost.
Matt nudged Jeff trying to get his attention to look at me, my head went to flight mode. I smiled at Amy "I would love to stay and chat but I go." I said before quickly jogging down the hall.
"Kailey Stratus! This isn't over!" I heard Amy yell as I was half across the building. I turned the corner and leaned against the wall, I bit my lip and my eyes started to water.
Feelings and memories I thought I locked away came flooding back like a giant wave.
"God why did I do this?" I said, I played with the ends of my hair. "Well if it isn't little miss perfect." I looked up and saw my twin sister walking towards me with a glare clapping her hands. "That was quite the little entrance you made." She said "You obviously didn't understand the first time I told your trashy ass to leave." She said and I glared at her.
"Is someone upset that they got their ass handed to them?" I asked raising an eyebrow and chuckled. Trish growled "I suggest you keep your pretty little mouth shut before-"
I heard someone clear their throat, I looked past Trish and saw Matt standing there. "Is there a problem Kailey?" He asked and Trish replied quickly with a smile "No not at-"
Matt looked at her "I didn't ask you, I asked Kailey." He said and looked at me "Is there a problem Kailey?" He asked and I shook my head.
Trish scoffed and walked away. I bit my lip and looked at Matt, "Listen Matt, if you are gonna yell at me too-" He pulled me close into a hug.
"Kailey Diana Stratus, you had me worried sick." He said with a stern brotherly like voice. I hugged him back and sighed softly "I'm sorry Matty." I mumbled.
He looked at me "Don't worry, I don't have Amy or Jeff with me. So we can talk." He said with a small smile. "I am not gonna yell at you..right now." He said with a small smirk.
I giggled, "Okay." I said and we sat down, leaning against the wall. We talked for an hour about everything I missed out on and what happened with me.
Matt looked at me "Why did you leave Kal?" He asked and I looked away. "I don't wanna talk about it." I said and he frowned.
"Hey matt, I have been looking all over for y-" My eyes widened and I looked up. I met those emerald green eyes again that made me weak. "Kailey.."
I bit the inside of my cheek, the first time in five years, my heart was running a race again. My emotions were going haywire and my head was spinning.
I brushed my hair behind my ear and stood up, "Hey Jeff." I said before I suddenly felt really dizzy. "Kailey!" I heard right before everything went black. ========================= Thanks for reading!!!
