Kailey sat at a lunch table with her best friends Amy, the red was telling her about how her teacher gave her a detention and how her crush was going to be doing a project with her for science.
However, the brunette had her mind set on something else. More like someone else. Her eyes were fixed on a certain blonde boy who was walking in the lunch line with her sister, Trish.
She felt her heartstrings being tugged at every time she saw them together. Her best friend, the person she had been in love with since they were 4 and 5, with the one person who hates her the most.
Trish Stratus always got what she wanted and was everyone's favorite Stratus sister. If Ms. Popular had her eyes set on something, she went for it. She had known her sister had feelings for the green eyed boy and she knew Jeff was popular in school, so she saw that as an equal opportunity.
Kailey's purplish eyes flickered to Matt and Amy "What?" She questioned confused as to what they were talking about. Matt and Amy looked at her with a sad smile, they both knew she was in love with Jeff. It was obvious to everyone, well except Jeff. Amy sighed "Kai, you okay? Do you wanna talk about it?" She asked with sympathy evident in her voice.
The brunette shrugged and looked down at her food, "Yeah why wouldn't I be? I mean he is happy and that's all that matters. Not that the fact that I have been in love with him for the longest time and he is clearly too blind to see it!" She exclaimed, overwhelmed with emotions as she angrily stabbed her salad.
"Who's to blind to see what?" A southern accent that she knew all too well questioned. The brunette froze as Amy's eyes widened, "Damn it." She mumbled softly. She looked up and saw Jeff standing in front of their table. Kailey felt like being she wanted to be swallowed by the earth.
She shook her head and gave him a fake smile, "Nothing, I was just complaining to Amy about uh- Harry Potter." She said, he tried to meet her gaze but she wouldn't look him in the eye. He sat at their table next to her, "Your obsession towards that series is very unhealthy, darlin." He chuckled. She stuck her tongue at him causing her three friends to laugh. "You are just jealous because I said I would rather date Draco Malfoy than you." She said and giggled. Matt and Lita went back to discussing their science project.
Jeff looked at the brunette and frowned "Have you been crying sweetheart?" He questioned as he noticed her puffy red eyes and her cheeks were tear stained. Her eyes widened, she looked away "Uh no, I just got something in my eyes earlier or maybe it is just allergies. I'm fine n-" She was cut off as Jeff turned her face to him. He wiped her tears away and looked her in the eyes making her feel like mush in his hands. "Don't lie to me darlin." He said softly in a whisper. He knew when she lied. He knew her better than anyone in the world.
In that moment she was about to spill her whole guts to him. They were so close to each other, his eyes flickered from her purple eyes to her lips. Jeff, knew deep down inside somewhere, he had those feelings for Kailey too but would never admit it since he was with Trish.
As she was about the speak, she was cut off by the sound of her older twin sister's voice "Jeff! Why are you sitting here with these people? Come sit with me with my friends." She said as she walked over to her sister and her boyfriend. Kailey looked down and pulled back from him, "Uh you should go sit with her, country boy." She said softly trying to keep her voice from cracking. Jeff wanted to smile at the nickname that she called him all the time but he couldn't because he saw she was sad.
Amy spoke out "Nobody wants to sit with you and your lame ass friends, Stratus. It is obvious since he came to sit with us and your sister but not you." She said with venom dripping in every word. Jeff, Matt, Kailey and Trish all looked shocked at the red head. Trish glared at Amy, "Oh shut it you. No asked you, you slutty ariel the little mermaid reject." She hissed and Jeff looked at his girlfriend, "Trish that is enough." He said sternly. Trish glared at him "No, this bitch has such a big mouth. I don't understand why you associate with them. I mean I understand Matt because he is your brother but that cool-aid jammer is a bitch and my little sister is just a loser." She said annoyed.
Kailey finally snapped.
There was a large noise and everyone went silent. Trish was in shock as she held her cheek, Jeff and Amy was stunned while Matt was trying to hold back his laughter. Kailey looked at her sister, all she saw was red. She had just slapped her sister.
"You know Trish, I am fine with calling me names. I mean you have done to me my whole life but don't you dare walk over here and talk about Amy like that. I will be damned if you think I am going to let you talk about her like that." She said calmly which was scary. She walked closer to Trish and was inches away from her, Trish had fear in her eyes "Say something like that again about her and it will be far worse than a bruise on your plastic nose." She finished.
Trish glared at her and let about an angry screech "You are just mad Kailey. You are mad that I am with your best friend. You just mad that I have-" Kailey glared at her and clinched her fist "Finish that sentence and I will make sure you are on crutches for-"
Principal Daniels walked in "That's enough. Kailey! Trish! Amy! Jeff! You four in my office now!" He yelled angry. Amy groaned and Matt looked at her with a smirk "Another detention for you. This is just not your week." He said with laugh. Amy smirked "It never is." She said with a giggle. The four followed the man to his office. The whole time Trish was making flirtatious smiles and kisses to Jeff.
Kailey groaned "Where's a bucket?" She muttered disgusted. Amy looked at her with the same disgusted look "Yeah I might throw up." She whispered to Kailey and they both laughed. Kailey's laughter made Jeff's attention move to her. She was beautiful when she laughed or smiled. Trish noticed and was rolled her eyes.
