Y/N

I pulled out my phone from my pocket and started looking through the contacts, scrolling down to find a certain name. I stopped under the 'M' section and pressed ring, "Hey! Would you mind meeting up for a bit? I'm headed to the park..."

...

I sat on the swing, legs dangling limply with coffee in one hand and phone in the other. The dangling of chains took my attention from my pinterest-board-building. Looking to my side, Mark sat there grinning at me like the Cheshire cat, "Hey, loser."

Slipping my phone into my pocket, I flicked him in the forehead, only just catching it as he maneuvered to escape my wrath.

"Ow... what was that for?" He sulked, rubbing his forehead.

"For being a stank ass hoe, that's what."

"Anyways," he shot daggers at me from under his eyebrows, "What did you want to meet for?"

"Can a friend not just want to meet a friend?" I sang.

"Y/N- "

"Fine, fine! I saw YoonGi at some desert café place I went to earlier and I freaked, alright? I need advice, dude."

Mark patted my head condescendingly, "Awe~ does my little Y/N need help?"

I ignored the dickhead and continued on, "I wasn't that bad overall, but he was on a date with this really hot girl. What the hell am I supposed to do with this information? Help me, Maaa~rk!"

I swung back into the swing, feigning my sorrow a tad much, throwing my head back as the swing went forward.

"You want my honest advice?" He folded his arms, being serious for once.

I looked over at him and nodded with a slight pout.

"Then nothing. You don't do anything with that info. You were so unhappy together, Y/N- "

I sulked under my breath, "There were some good times, too- "

"Those being too few and far apart, Y/N, don't forget that."

He was right and we both knew it. Sighing in defeat, I nodded reluctantly. His eyes softened and I realised how much I hated those sympathetic stares. Hopping up, I picked up the bag of brownies from the floor and looked down at Mark. His frame was ever so slightly too big on the kiddie-swings, his shoulders hunching in on themselves just to hold the chains. I reached out my hand to pull him up, "Lets go on a walk."

...

After waving Mark off, I shut the front door behind me and kicked my shoes off by the front door, not bothering to move them even though I knew mum would have my ass for it later. I called for her, letting her know I was home, getting a humming noise in return – she must be on the phone or something.

I pulled my phone out and looked at the notifications on my phone, seeing three missed phone calls from an unknown number and a few texts from Tae: 'pls don't kill me imsosorryaaaaa ;;-;; (3)'.

An unsettling nervous feeling started in my gut. Upon deciding I would need to be in the comfort of my bed for anything I was about to read, I double-stepped up the stairs and into my room, hopping onto my bed and wrapping myself in my blanket. I began reading the texts Taehyung had sent an hour ago or so:

TaeTae:

Pls don't kill me imsosorryaaaaa;;-;;

I may have given Jungkook ur number,, he was bugging e for ages, saying sth abt it being super-duper important !!

Lemme kno wht he says,, again, sosorry ily and goodluck lolol.

Jungkook and I had never been that close the whole time I got to know them all, so it didn't shock me that he only just got my number now. What did shock me, however, was the 'super-duper important' thing he wanted to speak to me about.

I contemplated with myself on whether or not I should call him back, only getting nonchalant voicemails from him telling me to do just that. Plucking up my courage, I hit the call button, breaking into a slight cold sweat as I remembered our last interaction.

It stopped ringing and I forgot how to breathe:

"...Hello?" A monotonous voice came through the speakers.

"...Hello?" I replied, throat coarse.

"Is this Y/N?"

"... no..."

"Y/N," he snapped.

Dang he's a little bitch when he wants to be. Unfortunately for me, that is all the time. Time to fight fire with fire, I guess.

"Yes, what do you want Jungkook?" I snapped back.

The phone was silent for a while and my heart fell to my ass again, regretting it immediately.

".. I need to meet you in person."

My jaw went slack.
