Luna sat there, staring distantly at Drew while he resumed his work. He seemed to be working on it all day, never having a break in between. Not even for food, bathroom, nothing.
He sighed into his hands, his curly brown hair was greasy, due to him not showering in what seemed days. It was disgusting, Luna wondered if he was always like this. Surely not, why would Hazel or Bianca ever have dated this type of guy.
Part of Luna wondered what Drew was stressed about. Why he was reacting so heavy about the situation. Almost for a month, he's been at his desk all day, every hour, writing and reading things down non stop.
Also almost a month ago Luna was killed by her own brother, and sent to the other side to help Drew kill Hazel. Someone that she wasn't if she wanted to do.
Sure, her and Hazel weren't on the best terms. But she owed Hazel a lot of things, loyalty being one of them. Hazel deserved a lot better in Luna's opinion, always being the first one blamed.
Luna felt like she changed for the first time in a while. A year ago she was on the other side for a different reason, to rule the place. Now, she is somewhat in Hazel's position. Desperate to try to stop Drew. In a way, it was a learning experience. At least that's what she took it as.
Was I once the bad guy? She wondered.
I wanted power, lots of it, but in an unhealthy way.
Luna wanted to say yes, because that seemed like the true answer. She helped loads of people since she was back on earth, and even in the void. She helped Eli, she helped Hazel and the rest of them defeat Xavier, at least she tried. They all did. But they failed...
She was a good girlfriend. Crystal seemed to be the only person that she didn't have to try hard to be the perfect, "queen" that she wanted/expected to be. She loved Crystal, even if Crystal forced her to reimprint on Madeline.
Madeline. Her body shivered.
Crystal had convinced Luna to imprint on Madeline and the others again. That was mostly the reason for all the bickering that took place between the two of them at Campsite Becker. Luna said no, stating that her imprint master side was one of the reasons she was the way she was on the other side. Crystal acted crazy about it, maybe if she regained her imprint master side, she would be taken more seriously.
It was safe to say that Crystal was a control freak. It was one of her most toxic traits Luna agreed, but she still loved her for who she was. Afterall, that was the Crystal that she fell in love with before she died.
She was still in love with that Crystal. She would die for her, which in a way she did, again. Though, over time, the things that Crystal made her do for power, was wrong. Like imprinting on Madeline. Taking control on a kind spirit, turning her into the opposite. Someone who looked and acted completely different then how she actually was.
Luna wanted to go out, search the library for an imprint spell that was strong enough to break the bond between the two girls. As much as Luna wanted power, the way Crystal proposed it was wrong. Everything about her idea was wrong, everything.
Sometimes Luna wanted to put out an act. Pretend to be on Drew's side, with killing Hazel, until she's not. Maybe then after she's trusted enough, she can just run, far away from the place.
"Stupid plan. Stupid agreement." Luna hears Drew whisper under his breath. Luna's eyes bolt up, staring straight up at the man at the desk. "What?" she asks softly. Drew whips his faces towards Luna, tilting his head at her. "We're gonna have a visitor. Prepare yourself."
